Don’t Republicans control the subcommittee? Why do Democrats have control enough to demand something as egregious as paying for legal aid for a dangerous invasion flooding our country with drugs and gangs? [More]Didn't we talk about a dog the other day?

An Expensive Lesson
Friend of mine, late for a flight, grabs his pack forgetting his Glock inside, stopped at TSA at San Jose Airport, issued a citation, released and made his flight. The citation is a 3rd degree misd punishable with a $579 fine Not being allowed to plea and pay! County requiring full adjudication, attorneys, thousands in fees and months to resolve (and loss of gun of course) [Via Dave Licht by email]

Griddle Me This
Needless to say, little has been made of the argument that none were killed in the Louisiana Waffle House incident because a law-abiding citizen was carrying and using a registered gun. Instead, gun control activists in the media decided to focus on an unarmed man’s heroics – rather than cover a story of how a “good guy with a gun” saved lives – which further strengthens the case for Second Amendment supporters. [More]Not surprising. It didn't fit the narrative.
That said, what's with "registered gun" in Louisiana?

No, The NRA Is Not Banning Guns At Its Convention [More]They kind of are, because they're the ones who set the speakers, and they could have him address the crowd via broadcast. True, it wouldn't be the same, but it's nonetheless a choice.

A Professional Opinion
In a post to Hotline, the city's public email listserv, Nagle wrote on Friday evening that she "and other council members" are leaning toward an alternative proposal referred to Nagle by Boulder resident John Ramey. He is a former advisor to the Obama administration, according to his LinkedIn profile, and Nagle said he "has past success in figuring out large and tricky governing problems." Police released surveillance showing a violent home invasion in Houston when four masked men stormed into a family's home. The men pistol-whipped a woman who was 4 months pregnant and pointed guns at her children. They stole jewelry and other items. [More]The "commonsense gun safety law" crowd demands you and yours be just as helpless.
My bet is these women have learned nothing and will emerge from this siding even more strongly with Shannon. I'd be delighted to be proven wrong on that.

#MeToo Movement Now Going for Brokaw
We presently have no idea if Brokaw is guilty or innocent of the sexual harassment allegations. If he is, this is yet another in a long line of examples of those who can’t – or more likely won’t – control themselves trying to control everybody else. And if he’s been falsely accused, well, when “progressives” are allowed to lie without being called on it and without personal repercussions, innocent people get hurt. [More]Where was his adamant concern for "truth" when he was repeating old lies about guns? Or does it only matter when it's his turn in the "progressive" barrel?
‘Caravan’ a Deliberate Attempt to Exploit U.S. Laws and Undermine National Sovereignty
