Acting Like Opposite Day 'Progressive' Ladies

‘It was bad’: Nicki Minaj and Cardi B brawl at fashion week party [More]
Give a pig fame and fortune and guess what it will still act like. That a significant part of the populace embraces such as these enough to do just that confirms Mr. Adams' warning. Oh well, such eloquence and principles would be wasted anyway.

The Pilgrim's 'Progress'

CHICAGO: Two major health scares at US airports involving inbound flights are related to pilgrims returning from the Haj, the Muslim pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia, which ended in late August, US health officials said on Friday. [More]
Where are the demands to "Abolish CDC"?

Forget the Alamo!

Don't call the Alamo's defenders 'heroic,' Texas school curriculum panel urges [More]
Nobody thought they'd stop at Confederate statues, did they?

As any cultural destroyer knows, you can't write a new and improved history unless you can first erase the real one.

And this one is Bush Family-approved.

You'd Better Put Some ICE on That

Although Kyle acknowledged that it’s “part of the deal” that anyone “can use open source for evil,” he told me he couldn’t stand to see the software he helped develop get used by companies contracting with ICE. [More]
He'd rather see we all get open sores...

The Mens Rea Cycle

[M]any criminal laws that Congress enacts “fail to protect the innocent with adequate ‘mens rea’ requirements,” and “many of them are so vague, far-reaching, and imprecise that few lawyers, much less non-lawyers, could determine what specific conduct they prohibit and punish.” [More]
Funny though, how clear intent is ignored for some.

There's NOT an App for That

Google informed GunBroker.com on September 3 that its mobile app would be blocked from the app store Google Play. [More]
Think of it as economic cleansing.

Funny how they're on top of that but it took a third party to discover AdultSwine filth they were spreading.

We Don't Want Your Kind Around Here

No. 2 ranked U.S. law school study finds conservative profs shunned by elite schools [More]
Otherwise, who knows what they'd teach and how that would influence future decison-makers? Why the very future of our legal system depends on it -- at least for as long as we need to maintain  the fiction that its purpose is to adjudicate instead of rule.

About That Third Rail

Democrats are Running on Gun Control in 2018 [More]
Time was they were shy about that, but the times, they are a-changin'.

I would expect most of the noise and most of the "victories" to be in "safe" blue states, but look to those to be used to create a false impression of public demand. I'd also expect life to get a lot more complicated for gun owners if attitudes like this prevail.

Boy Troubles

A 14-year-old boy has been charge with murder and rape in connection with the death of an 83-year-old woman, Baltimore police announced Friday. [More]
Here's a great opportunity for Sandra Bullock to make a virtue-oozing follow-up to "The Blind Side."

Oh, and it's "charged."

'Cause I'm a Woman! W-O-M-A-N

Kathy Griffin: Government singled me out for scrutiny because I'm a woman [More]
Could'a fooled me.

Chasing the Dragon

There sure are a lot of "coincidences." [More]

Defending the Right to Keep and Bear Arms with David Codrea – Ep. 36

Episode Highlights:The life-changing event that brought David into gun rights advocacy. The lawmakers who truly “get” the 2nd Amendment. What David thinks about keeping track of his website traffic. What’s changed in American culture since the 1980’s regarding gun rights advocacy. And so much more! [More]
Jeez, they sound like they almost find me as interesting as I do.

Anyway it was fun -- it's always nice meeting people worth talking to and I hope you find listening in on our conversation time well spent.

Interesting program they've put together -- and an interesting business, what with  so many payment processors discriminating against gun owners and gun businesses.

You'll find plenty more discussions here.

Play Baal

Abortion icon Barack Obama, Johnstown, Pennsylvania, March 29, 2008: “If my daughters make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby.” [More]
Hey, who doesn't know how babies are made? A mistake is when you forget to carry the "2." A baby is not a punishment, but it is the one being punished.

Even though I find this a compelling essay, I hesitated posting this because I couldn't find a source for that quote that didn't look like it was just being repeated by relatively obscure websites without being validated. Then I saw:

I'm also a bit concerned that Obama's back is to the camera for much of the video. His voice does sound spot on, better than the ones here, but forgive me for being leery knowing such things are being made.

If anyone can prove my concerns unfounded, please inform us all in comments.

Weapons of Wear

It's official: Anyone who can't be trusted with "violins, flowers, balloons, antlers and umbrellas" can't be trusted in Westport. [More]

Looks like I'll need another amendment.

Neither can Russians.

But as we see time and again, all the subversives need do is accuse and their easily-manipulated mob of angry losers is ready to grab a rope.

We're the Only Ones Unique Enough

Prosecutors, in an Aug. 17 motion to delay the trial, said they believed no witness other than the detective battling brain cancer could testify about a forensic evaluation of cellphones allegedly linking the defendants in the case. [More]
Why?

They have plenty of resources for this kind of foolishness.

Bomb threat cancels classes in Fox C-6 School District [More]
I'm actually surprised this doesn't happen a lot more often, including to disrupt advocacy events.

I guess most aren't any smarter than joker here.

Bullet Points

“It is wrong to treat California’s law-abiding gun owners like criminals,” said Chris W. Cox, executive director of the National Rifle Association’s Institute for Legislative Action. [More]
They do because they can.  Not that Mr. Cox has a vested interested in explaining why.

So we get nonstop tyrannical harasments like this.  Guaranteed.

The photo of the enforcer with the gun store manager really does illustrate the dynamic of the "progressive" philosophy that the people exist to serve the government, does it not? The body postures alone say it all.

Rome Has Come to Us

In an inspired spoof of Sen. Cory Booker’s remarks in which he likened himself to the ancient gladiator Spartacus for brazenly breaking the rules of the Senate, The Washington Free Beacon offered an utterly hilarious tweet mocking Booker. [More]
I like going lower with those that deserve it. I wonder if he likes oysters and snails.

Caveat Emptor

Received via spam email:

No, in fact they're not.  They'd love to, of course, but for now they don't have anywhere near the needed votes.  Still, even if they were "moments away," how (or should I say "who") would this "help"?:

The Rusepaper of Record

What, the hearings that were televised and that resulted in all kinds of childish histrionics ...?

First Do Harm

Dr. Howard Dean, a former Vermont governor and physician, asserted on Sunday that President Donald Trump has a mental illness that makes him unfit for the presidency. [More]
He then elaborated:

Thing is, he's evidently neither qualified nor certified to practice psychiatric medicine. Were he, he'd know the APA's Goldwater Rule (the one the shrinks with a "progressive" political agenda ignore):

He doesn't have to worry about that organization ruling on an ethics complaint sinced he's not a member.  That said, he is relying on his "doctor" status to be presented as a medical authority by the media and is using them to amplify a wholly unqualified opinion for political purposes.

I was thinking of filing a complaint, but I see from their "lookup" function that his credential status has "lapsed," making his opinion being presented as valid all the more incompent and fraudulent.

So She Wasn't Raised by Wolves...?

Dem Socialist Candidate’s Brother and Mother Say She’s Lied About Her Upbringing [More]
They would know.

She lies about everything. All "Dem Socialists" do.

Dare I also  draw other character conclusions? Knowing all this, I guess we'll really see the character of her constituents.

Nice to see her family leave Colombia and her trying to remold the country that took them in...

And we know how the Democrat Socialists of America feel about guns -- and why.

Here's something that Facebook users ought to at least be aware of -- I went to Salazar's page just to see if I could find anything useful for this post and this is what immediately popped up:

I wonder what new "outreaches" await me.
