When it comes to killing, semi-automatic handguns appear to be the weapon of choice in Chicago. [More]Nice unbiased lead there, "Authorized Journalist" Frank Main. I guess we can't talk about "When it comes to self defense," because you and the politicians you service pretty much make sure the equation can't include that.
Funny thing about weapons of choice, though. Depending on which anti's doing the yacking, they keep changing...
It's the Sun Times, what do you expect. This is the same newspaper that considered 2500 people descending on the state capitol 'not newsworthy' but gave front page coverage to Jessie Jackson and his less than 200 bused in followers front page coverage on several occasions.
ReplyDeleteThe author seems to play a contradiction....
ReplyDelete"Of 106 guns linked to homicides in Chicago, 54 were semi-automatic pistols, 44 were revolvers and eight were rifles, according to the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives."
Onl the guns linked to Homicides? Ok then why then did this happen...
"Of the roughly 10,000 guns submitted to ATF last year from Chicago, the largest share were .38-caliber revolvers -- 1,900 of them. And the most common .38 was a Smith & Wesson."
Are they just making sure those good fellas at the ATF have plenty to do?
Or were there 9550 unsolved homicides in Chicago last year?
Maybe the vest majority of those guns traced were used in a "justifiable shooting"...?
Nahhhh! They just want to make sure the feds have plenty to do, thus they ban handguns and make every gun owner a criminal! Hey thats an idea!
The article then says,
"Chicago Police detectives said they believe that semi-automatic pistols -- particularly 9mm handguns -- are the most commonly used gun in shootings here."
Thus contradicting the above paragraphs of the article. The police "...believe that..."
Near the end, the admission, "But the police said they did not have a breakdown of weapons used in shootings.", which says, this is nothing but a propaganda piece anyway!
Finally, in conclusion, this gratuitous gem appears, "The weapon that was used to kill Chicago plumbing company owner Marcus Hendricks last April 18 was a 7.62-caliber Romanian AK-47.", which has NOTHING to do with the article at all, but it is inserted to evoke emotion. Don't think! Feel!
The news media is full of crooks and gangsters. They have a vested interest in dumbing down their audience. They have a vested interest, in collusion with the politicians, in controlling the population.
When good men sit on their hands, conditioned to do so like Pavlovian dogs, crooks and gangsters run rampant. Good men have a conscience. Those "who have the law written upon their hearts", want to, and try to, find a way to, follow the law, even when it is unjust. Crooks and gangsters have no such artificial impediments.
Life is so simple for a crook. The only law is, "Seek advantage for me today". Everything else is just in the way.
For a crook, there is no right or wrong. There is only, what I want and what I don't want.
For a crook, there is no such thing as lawful and unlawful. There is only, what I can get away with and what I can't get away with.
