Society should draw lines. What do you need an assault weapon for, if you're going hunting? That's overkill. But I don't think that means you go to a total ban for those who want to use gun for skeet shooting or hunting or things like that But what's the point of passing gun laws if we're not going to enforce them? If you want to talk about gun control, that's where you need to start. We've got 300 gun laws on the books right now. At the end of the day, it's about how we enforce the law. [More]So why the hell would anyone consider this ignorant fraud for GOP Chair? Have they learned nothing?
I'll look at the other candidates over the next day or so. Ken Blackwell seems to understand the issue.
Anybody who has knowledge about the others, please chime in.
300? What century is he livin in?
ReplyDeleteYou can't believe that there is anything other than furthering government control in the minds of these people. All of them.
"Enforce existing gun laws!" Okay, let's reverse the Heller Decision!
ReplyDeleteIdiots.
Right out of the Third Way play book.
Well, for that matter, why would anyone need a high-powered sniper rifle for hunting?
ReplyDeleteNo, wait...
well, to answer his question, dangerous game.
ReplyDeleteYou can have all the gun control laws in the country, but if you don't enforce them, people are going to find a way to protect themselves.
ReplyDelete"And we have to put a stop to that."
Next step, convincing enough idiots that gun rights are about hunting. Proceeding right on schedule, Glorious Leader.
With state party officials picking the new chairman in Jan, I've sent Steele's 'bona fides' on to my local party functionaries, with some choice (but civil) comments...unfortunately each branch of our political corpus seems totally bumfoozled as to simple concepts of liberty and the restrictions the Founders laid upon govt.
ReplyDeleteHow many states is it illegal to hunt deer with a .223 "assault weapon" ? ignoramus.... ask a Jew, Ukrainian, Cambodian, Hmong, Armenian, why anybody "needs" a gun.
ReplyDeleteJust because someone is a Republican, you cannot assume that they are for gun rights. Look at Florida Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen. An otherwise reliable conservative, she is one of the pushers of the the 2008 AWB.
