No Business for Randy Rayburn, EVER

"We will have vigilantes shooting up bars all over," said Randy Rayburn, the owner of three upscale cafes, who led opponents of the law. [More]
Insulting, isn't he?

I wonder what Randy's prepared to personally do if someone downscale decides an upscale cafe with unarmed patrons provides an attractive opportunity for those not afraid to ignore the rules when it suits their purposes?

You know, people who look at "No Guns Ever" signs as invitations...?

You can ask Randy. You'll find him down at the Sunset Grill. Or at the Midtown Cafe, or his third "Dine While Disarmed" establishment, Cabana.

Any gun owner who spends a dime in these joints is giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

And here's an interesting twist: Randy's executive chef "specializes in wild game dishes in the framework of contemporary cuisine."

Does that mean they have to shoot it?

Might be an opportunity to do a little CUM ULLA SELLA IN PUGNO TABERNA bridge-building, and find out how many PETA activists in the Nashville area might be outraged at the exploitation and murder of our animal friends just to satisfy upscale gluttony and greed...

  1. While you could aptly call me a vigilante, I have zero interest in shooting up bars and other inanimate objects. I would however, enjoy watching this morons' business die a slow death from lack of patronage. Watching him dance the hissy fit of helplessness, while eating a ham sandwich across the street, sounds like top-flight entertainment.

  2. So - these purported "vigilantes" - who will be shooting up bars if allowing licensed CCW permitees to carry into bars isn't stopped - won't do that now. Weird "logic" that.

One must assume that these alleged "vigilantes" will only perform their shooting up of bars if they consume alcohol, and thus become crazy. If "a lawsuit" will stop this disaster, I'm quite sure that another lawsuit should be immediately undertaken to stop people from consuming alcohol - at least at his establishments.

Randy Rayburn has as much as admitted that anyone he serves an alcoholic beverage will become unstable, possibly causing the death of others. His stated position stands as an affirmation that he assumes vicarious liability for the actions of all of his patrons who consume an alcoholic beverage on his premises.

Since he has as much as admitted that he is sure that everyone who has a beer goes crazy and can't be trusted as a result, anyone harmed by anyone who had a drink at his restaurant has a legitimate cause of action against him.

If anyone is, in the future, harmed in any way by someone who had a drink at one of his "upscale cafés," they should sue Rayburn into oblivion.

  3. I recently went to a party at a local tavern. As always, I was carrying openly. It was a birthday bash for the USMC! Wall to wall Marines of all ages. :)

One of the gentlemen was visibly intrigued and asked me about it. When he discovered that there was NO law against it in Wyoming he said, "Darn! I could have carried mine too!"

And, next time, I'm sure he will. :)

A "No Guns" sign in NE Wyoming is a sure indication that a "going out of business" sign will be posted there shortly. [big evil grin]

  4. Picketing is a time honored tradition. Just make sure you don't print or say anything that can be slanderous. If you were to carry a sign with "Gun Free Zone No Armed Resistance to Robbery" on it, there is nothing they can do.
