We're the Fauxnly Ones...

Tampa men posed as cops, tried to pull woman over, authorities say [More]
Remember that the next time some "Only One" decries armed citizens using the excuse that a cop arriving on scene won't be able to tell who the bad guy is.

And just in case the cop arriving on scene is the bad guy...real or fake being irrelevant.

They Look Like AT-ST Imperial Walkers

I wonder how tough it would be to bring one down?  Hypothetically speaking, of course... [Watch]

I understand from the economic fasc...uh...public/private partnership video put out by ICx Technologies, themselves a group of connected "access capitalists," that that tinted glass will stop a 7.62 armor-piercing round.

And, of course, if you need to return the compliment, the Sky Watch Frontier model provides "optional ballistic capabilities."

This certainly makes me feel a lot better about buying all my Chinese goods at WalMart!

Some Kind of Tool

Hey, remember earlier today when I said New Zealanders need some kind of tool...?

The Tasmanians have one.

His name is Roland Browne.

Going Dutch

As of January, people who use violence to defend themselves against burglars or robbers will be treated more leniently by the police and the public prosecutors' office.

They will no longer be immediately arrested and questioned as suspects, but instead will be allowed to assist the police in their inquiries at a different time. [More]

What do the antis call this? Condoning vigilantism?

Lead on, brave soldiers of Orange!

You people are so fricking lost...

When Machetes Are Outlawed...

Two 14-year-old boys have now been charged with attempting to murder policemen in the space of a fortnight after a second attack on an officer involving a machete and a knife. [More]
Good thing NZ has restrictions in place to cut down on those child gun deaths!

If this could happen to a baton/pepper spray-wielding constable, just think how the average citizen would fare being forced by "the law" to go hand-to-hand...y'know, you'd think there'd be some kind of tool...

Are We Not Men?

Anne Arundel County police said the women were leaving The Rose Restaurant on Belle Grove Road just after 7 p.m. Saturday when a man approached them, threatened them with a claw hammer and took their purses. [More]
That was no man. Men don't do that.

That was a cowardly animal.

What is the law? Are we not men?

Death Wish

In correspondence with BFA, McGlone said that at 9:30AM on the same morning his letter was published, "I received a phone call at my home. The caller asked if this was Mark and if I wrote the editorial. I replied yes. Than the caller said 'well I hope someone shoots you and your family'!" [More]
I'd have laughed and invited the pussy to make good. I can say that, because I've done it in the past.

And yes, I also called the police--not for protection though. I wanted an official report establishing the event and my attempt at lawful resolution, just in case I needed evidence for my defense if a body was tied back to me.

We're the Only Ones En Masse Enough

Because  walking up and explaining neighbor concerns and ordinances in a respectful manner doesn't show people who the occupying force is. [Read]

Especially when the ordinance doesn't support your case.  Then it becomes paramount to tack on some resisting arrest/assaulting cop charges--just to even out those 20-to-one odds.

Just what does someone have to do for ABC to consider him ‘anti-gun’?

But Colin’s not “anti-gun.”

And neither is oozing-with-sympathy Roberts, who tells him “I'm so glad that you're doing well and you’re doing the work…that you are doing, Colin.”

...You believe that, right?[More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column looks at some people who say they merely want to set a few standards.

Also set some personal training standards of your own.

This Day in History: December 28

British Attack on Savannah December 28, 1778
By 1778, the British altered their strategy to subdue the American rebellion. An army of over 3,000 British regulars, German mercenaries and American Loyalists sailed from New York to capture Savannah. Under the command of Lt. Col. Archibald Campbell, the expedition would use the city as a base of operations against Patriot forces in the South. The British advance into Savannah was virtually uncontested by the surprised Georgia Continentals. For the duration of the war in America, Savannah was an occupied city. [More]
