  1. "“We know that juveniles don’t think out consequences clearly,” Beth Huebner, an associate professor of criminology at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, told the Associated Press after a 72-year-old Vietnamese immigrant was killed in another “Knock ‘em out” case in St. Louis last year.

“They see something on YouTube and say, ‘I want to get that sort of attention, too.’ They don’t think about the person they’re attacking maybe hitting their head.”"

Uh, Beth? The punch IS the hitting of the head.
Besides, how do old do they need to be before you stop calling them "juveniles"? This article mentions that the three participants in this "game" were 16, 17 and 18 years old. The 18 year old is legally an adult and 16 and 17 years old is considered an adult for the charge of murder.
