A Higher Education

Before Mr. Sweeney tries to remake the Founder's rule of law and the Constitution he should perhaps study the Law of Unintended Consequences first. [Read]
Mike tries his best to tutor someone who presumes to teach, but in reality doesn't even belong in an adult classroom.

#EFAD on Armed American Radio

I had the chance to discuss "Operation #EFAD" and "Gangster Government" last night on Armed American Radio with host Mark Walters.

You can listen to all three hours of last night's program by going to the AAR home page and scrolling down to "AAR Recent Posts" in the right sidebar.

I came on in Hour Two at 43:35 into the segment, and was able to discuss it some more in Hour Three, when Mark announced he was getting a lot of emails about it, and Round Table guest George "The Mad Ogre" Hill let us know he downloaded the "Enemies Foreign and Domestic" Kindle book during the break.

Quote of the Year

"There's nothing really on the books here in Georgia at the present time to specifically address this kind of criminal activity," he said. [More]
Why does that remind me of this?

When Leftists Collide

Open Carry is instead a political statement in the best tradition of John Wilkes Booth, Timothy McVeigh, Sharron Angle and Ted Nugent. [More]

That, ladies and gentlemen, is comedy gold.

Careful Josh, you magnificent loon--and I use that adjective in all sincerity, because you're just so goddamn nuts you may as well be our man in the gun ban camp, the way you siphon off attention and resources from more effective adversaries.  But the thing is, if you really want voting to be as complicated as buying a gun, you're going to need to close the "loophole" that allows many to do so without identification and background checks--you racist.

Way to Go, Alan!

Not bad, being quoted by AP for a story carried by NBC. Not bad at all. [Read]

Red Planet

The reason, the novel suggests, is that they are socialists, who raise their children communally and have no concept of parental love.[More]

#EFAD Communiqué #12

All right, cyber troops, tonight at midnight marks the official end of Operation #EFAD. We still have much of today to accomplish the final, hardest, and most important part of our "time-on-target" internet and media barrage. [More]
You can learn more about it here.

I also had a chance to discuss it last night in two separate segments on Armed American Radio, and will post links once the show is posted.

Thanks to those who knew and helped get the book to #1 over the weekend.  To those who knew and didn't, well...

Good and Substantial

Ladies and gentlemen, we won! [More]
I have just not had time to follow this case--I note SAF is credited with "spearhead[ing] this effort," so I bet Dave Workman will have something for us soon.

UPDATE: What did I tell ya?

Official strategies give survival advantage to school shooters

But feel free to throw things at an armed berserker, kids, and to rush him, Chief Larry advises. True, "when applying 'throw and go' ...some may be injured and possibly killed [but] if people in that classroom do nothing and lie in frozen fear, afraid to fight to live, that the shooter will probably kill everyone in the classroom until stopped,"  he admits. A Crime Fighter of Sorts

If you own a gun, you can be a crime fighter, of sorts. We aren't in any way suggesting you use that gun against criminals — just that you help prevent criminals from using your gun. [More]
Stop, or I'll make a list!

Not that you shouldn't as long as you can keep away from prying eyes, but what a ridiculous, prejudicial  way to start this story.

We're the Only Ones Getting a Break Enough

With the blessing of a powerful gun lobby, a bill giving police a break on the cost of background checks when purchasing guns passed unanimously out of a Senate committee Wednesday. [More]
Why? Is the theory that if they have their place at the table, it will inspire them to invite the rest of us in from the cold to share the bounty?

This Day in History: March 5

When Maj. Vernier’s men got in the kill zone of the ambush, the sentries fired, signaling the hidden soldiers to fire on the cavalry. Nearly all of the Maj. Vernier’s cavalry was shot or bayoneted. A few were able to escape into the night. [More]
