We're the Only Ones Shooting Holes in the Theory That We're Better Trained and Safer Enough

Look at the holes in that truck.

Look at how many rounds they fired.

And there was a second shooting?

Shooting newspaper delivery women.  They didn't even have a target identified. If you or I were afraid of a stalker and had done that, imagine how the antis, the newspapers, the politicians, the police hierarchies and the police unions would be exploiting that to "prove" that mere "civilians" are just too untrained and prone to panic to safely use guns for self defense.

This was an act of unprovoked aggression and absolute hysteria.

Caused by one guy. One crazy guy from their ranks.

There are lessons to be observed here, and from the Malvo/Muhammad episode, particularly if any widespread gun enforcement becomes part of a national plan.  You know, the same "laws" Dorner demands "Whether by executive order or thru a bi-partisan congress."

Suspected cop killer and manhunt target left manifesto demanding 'gun control'

Who in there [sic] right mind needs a [redacted] silencer!!! who [sic] needs a freaking SBR AR15? No one. No more Virginia Tech, Columbine HS, Wisconsin temple, Aurora theater, Portland malls, Tucson rally, Newtown Sandy Hook. Whether by executive order or thru a bi-partisan congress an assault weapons ban needs to be re-instituted. Period!!! [More
Today's Gun Rights Examiner report brings you a manifesto written by someone definitely not in his right mind, so you can judge for yourself the type of people who agree with this mad dog. Grab this one quick, because I link to an unredacted copy of his manifesto--the mainstream media has complied with LAPD's request to scrub what they produce. Push comes to shove, I have a copy of the text should the site I link to go dark.

One of Us

To put it simply, he’s one of us. [More]
Uh, yeah, about that...

As more and more of these turncoats start coming out, silence from Fairfax may just imply tacit consent, and even  indicate they and a cadre of industry compromisers are getting cover on preemptive surrender while they mouth public words of opposition.  I would love to be proven flat-out wrong on this suspicion and look forward to an immediate statement from NRA on penalty consequences it will exact for cowardice under fire.

We're the Ex-Only Ones Doubling Up Enough

Former LAPD officer a suspect in Irvine double murder [More

It doesn't say how long they inflicted this guy on the public...

Oh, and look: The adventure continues!

UPDATE: He's demanding "gun control" and praising Obama.  He's also showing how one guy with the right tactical knowledge, crazy or no, can disrupt an entire AO and show the state for how vulnerable its enforcers really are.  I link to his manifesto in this piece--the mainstream media scrubbed their copy at request of LAPD--this links to the unscrubbed version--we'll see h0ow long it stays up, I suggest everyone make a copy.

Code Red for Code Red?

This seriously pissed me off, saw it on the Code Red Facebook page. They were actually proud of what they'd done, which is condone gun theft by giving gift cards to those who turned guns in. According to them, they destroyed the guns without returning them to the rightful owners, in the case of obviously stolen guns...

...If you read Mr Vega's comments, he said they notify the owners of stolen guns but he "could not care less" what happens to the guns once they're turned in. [More]
I'm not seeing it there,  but do note some displeased comments.

Here's a Facebook screen grab that includes deleted comments from the owner:

There's more discussion over at The High Road and if you start looking, all over the place.

I just don't have time to go through all those threads and evaluate the comments.  If anybody has light to bring to this, please feel free to educate us all.

A-Rated RINOs for "Gun Control"

Rep. Scott Rigell would rather partner with Old Bloody Hands than keep faith with his oath and with his countrymen. [Read]

Way to earn your "A" rating!

This kind of crap will continue unless and until we are committed to make examples of these Quislings.  Make an example of him. Toss his @$$ out. Even if a Democrat gets his seat. And let the GOP know that the next one who falls out of line will be targeted as well.If they won't do the right thing out of principle, make them do the right thing out of cowardly self-preservation. Who cares, as long as the results are there?

Otherwise, what incentive do they have to change?

Look at the way the article manipulates, starting out with a horrifying anecdote just to set everyone's mood before they lay this on them:
Most Americans already think gun trafficking is a federal crime — but it’s not. They have no idea that there is no federal law targeting firearms traffickers who commonly use “straw purchasers” to buy guns for convicted felons and other dangerous criminals who cannot legally buy guns on their own.
Really? So I can lie with impunity on question 11.a.? That bit about it being a "crime punishable as a felony" on page 2 is just to fill up space on the form?
Tell me again why these people have gone through hell over accusations they allowed 4473s to be falsified?

And why did this guy and his family go through hell over accusations he was an unauthorized dealer?

Breaking News, CNN's John Avlon-Style

They are among the 500 names on the National Rifle Association's absurd new "enemies list"...The first thing that struck me was the preponderance of '70s sitcom stars who are apparently among the leading threats to gun rights in America today...[More
That's because it isn't new, you ignorant, lazy dolt. And it's not an "enemies list," it's a list of prominent people and businesses that have initiated public attacks on the right to keep and bear arms over the years. The antis even had an "NRA Blacklist" site up for years (which I made fun of time and again here), and Dustin Hoffman even got press 10 years back saying he wanted to be on it.

What everyone is reacting to is an ILA update (from last September, by the way) of a page that's been around for many years--the earliest one I can find using the Wayback Machine Internet Archive is from 2003, but I recall seeing the list before then. And here's the "NRA Blacklist" site, also from 2003.

And the thing is, all the "Authorized Journalists" seem to be jumping on this "story."  They get their talking points and a meme is born.

But God forbid they actually spend five minutes Googling their subject matter before deciding their hysterical and uninformed judgmentalism is worth propagating on major news websites and influencing millions even  less informed than they are.  They don't care though, because "Mission Accomplished." I guess as long as they're pleasing their masters, they don't give a damn if they've traded in any vestige of integrity and settled for being useful idiots and hacks.

But I guess when SPLC puts out a list -- even if it causes some of their "gunloon" followers to plan hunting expeditions -- that's OK with these hive insects.  And if the government wants to deprive Americans of due process and unalienable rights by creating their lists, and in secret, why, that's even better.

Yeah, Avlon, "most of America." You keep guzzling your own swill, you tool.

Facist Media Pigs on Parade

Tony Bennett must have also left his brain in San Francisco if he's going to bring up Nazi Germany as a good reason to have more "gun control." [Read]

UPDATE: Workman made the same observation.

The Rest of the Story

REESE CASE: Government continued to fight the bond after the last hearing  [More]
If you really want the inside scoop on this story, you need to make Tea Party Patriots of Luna County a regular stop.  This is where you'll get detailed reporting of courtroom proceedings, and sourced reports on how the family is doing. This is the kind of stuff the "Authorized Journalists" are oblivious to (and wouldn't touch if they weren't), and if journalism awards were given based on merit instead of agenda, this series of reports would be a contender.

Return to Imaginationland

7-year-old provokes administration wrath.
Gee, it seems like we just went there yesterday.

Bear gives an update:

Apparently Mary Blair Elementary, the school that suspended the 7 year-old for tossing an imaginary grenade into an imaginary box in an imaginary game of "Save the (Imaginary) World", have taken down their entire web site. As of 12:50AM EST, I get a 404 on every page I try to reload, including the contact pages on which I first found the staff emails I used to share the imaginary grenade attack picture.
