If You Don't Want to Be Eaten By Wild Animals...

...it's a pretty good idea not to walk into their habitat and place yourself at the mercy of their instincts. [More]

I wondered what the hell she was doing there in the first place.

Going to a Lecture Tonight...

...to listen to the author of "The Court-Martial of Paul Revere: A Son of Liberty and America's Forgotten Military Disaster," hosted by the Hudson Historical Society. [More]

You can learn more about the book here.

I guess this means we miss "Wheel of Fortune"...

What Man Giveth

Man taketh away. [More]

I don't care if you say "endowed by our Creator" or "inherent to the condition of being human," the bottom line is, there's not a man on the planet with a legitimate claim to mine. Least of all the contemptible and profane Chris Cuomo.

Grassley Presses Lynch

Meanwhile, the defrauding charges are so severe, Judge Allegra has ordered a Special Master to be appointed to the Dobyns case. [More]
That's big. That means he's calling in troops to help because there's so much work to do.

EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT!

ANTI-GUNNERS LIE! [More]

Dang. If you can't even believe Oregon Bolsheviks, who can you trust?

Time to be Reasonable

I agree. [More]

You don't force me into a bar fight and I won't smash you in the face with  this chair. We can then both go about our business undisturbed.

What could be more reasonable than that?

We're the Only Ones A Little Different Enough

Both were charged with resisting arrest, which is the usual contempt of cop charge used in Florida. In New York, it’s obstruction of governmental operations, which at least sounds legitimate. [More]
Yeah, just wait and see how much more "legitimate" New York wants to make it.

So: How does it feel to be on the receiving end?  And how is it taxpayers foot the bill for "public service" jobs that allow people young enough to still have teenage kids to retire?

We're the Only Ones Trick Shooting Enough

A bullet accidentally fired from a police sergeant’s gun at his work desk was shot through the wall of his office, into the kitchen, through the refrigerator, into the Communications area, through another wall, ricocheting off a flat screen TV, and finally coming to a stop in a hallway garbage can. [More]
That's probably because the guy's an instructor.  I doubt a novice "Only One" could have hit that many targets.

I Don't Know Art

But I know what I like. [More]

That Norman Rockwell Triple Self Portrait parody is hilarious.

It looks like a good opportunity for local gun owners and Oath Keepers to get involved in providing protection.

And Yet ANOTHER Nevada Development

It looks like they're trying to expand who can "legally" carry. [More]

It would be interesting to see if there are any "equal protection" implications for people from states that don't give them the option to qualify...

Nevada Campaign Command Central

Nevadans for State Gun Rights have launched their new website, which includes not just the latest information, but ways for YOU to get involved. [More]

Not from Nevada?  Do you think that won't result in the choice between complying or becoming a "law-breaker" -- with all the life and livelihood-destroying potentials that involves -- coming to your state next?

Doesn't it make more sense to stop that now, where only a little effort on your part is needed, than waiting until the effort that will be required could become unimaginably terrible?

Make today's Five-Minute Activism project twofold: Visit the site and learn, and then share it with everyone you know and urge them to follow suit.

Still not sure? Sir Winston would like a word with you...

New York Times spreads anti-gun junk science hysteria against concealed carriers

Understand that this is the “paper of record” that didn't seem to have a problem with concealed carry when publisher “Punch Sulzberger” had one of the rare permits only the connected elites “qualify” for” (because he carried “large sums of money,” obviously more important than your life). And VPC is a group that has proudly centered its “assault weapon” ban strategy on an admitted deception, relying on gullible low-information marks to not know the difference between a semi-automatic firearm and a machine gun. Today's Gun Rights Examiner report notes Fourth Estate Fifth Columnists doing what they do best -- spreading subversive lies.

The Search is On

I am trying to assist a friend who needs to "locate a WY resident who is disabled or otherwise incapable of firing a traditionally configured handgun."

I can't tell you more now except it involves this.

If you are or know of such a person who is curious to learn more, shoot me an email (dcodrea@hotmail.com).

Crumbling Around the Edges

Liston Matthews assesses yesterday's court victory with a look at the way things used (ought) to be. [More]

Missing the Point

Spooking lawmakers with guns isn’t political genius [More]
What makes you think "politics" is their primary goal?

They're here, they're determined, they're growing and they're fed up. You can continue condemning them, as most no doubt will, but you're not going to stop them without overwhelming police state force attacking the exercise of the uninfringed right to keep and bear arms.

If and when that happens, whose side will you be on?

So who do "we" heed? Americans demanding back what is theirs, or "lawmakers" who are "spooked" by that?

I note some of the loudest voices from our side decrying the open carriers have been absolutely --and intentionally -- silent on the biggest threat to gun rights we are facing over the next few decades, another new paradigm, and have offered no credible refutation of the data to help us understand why they continue to do nothing.

UPDATE: Mike shares his thoughts.

Put Out My Hand and Touched the Face of God

He was awarded the Navy Cross, the highest award for valor after the Medal of Honor. [More]
My older brother tells me our uncle was campaigning to get him the gold. If we can locate what he wrote, I'll follow up on this post.

The Fix is In

I guess the next president is going to be a Democrat, no matter who we "vote" for. [More]

I cannot and will not lend my support to such subversive destruction. There is no "lesser evil" here.

Training Day Redux

We just saw one way in the last post.  Here's the other end of the spectrum. [More]

We're the Only Ones Daily Enough

This happens every day. I do this every single day. [Watch]
I believe you.

We're the Only Ones Well-Rounded Enough

Chubi's going to be astounded if she ever ties to bully someone who isn't intimidated by a badge. [Watch]

I guess if this is the attitude, her being in that condition is to everyone's advantage.

What a Nice Young Man

And such a deserving one. [More]

You can tell from this window into his mind how substantial he is.

I Couldn’t Bring Another Monster into the World.

I Aborted My Baby – Because it was a Boy [More]
Yet she's the victim of "social injustice."

Besides, the folks who accuse us of being human rights violators for acknowledging the right to keep and bear arms do that to girls all the time. Just not always in utero.

I guess calling her helpless victim the monster is as Opposite Day "progressive" an attitude as any.

Structured Assets

That makes it easy for government thieves to steal them. [More]

And I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free...

Blast from the Past

A link here I noticed in my referral counter led back to this old forum discussion.

I'm glad "the blog's bashing of NRA kinda irked [you]," founding member.

First of all, truth isn't "bashing." Way to help obscure the truth with the lie that it is. Plus you deserve to be irked, often, and by someone who knows how.

Aside from having more productive things to do, the willfully (but opinionated) blind are the biggest reason I have nothing to do with message boards. I remember what happened the first and only time I relented.

Running for (the) Presdent

Give that man a ballot! [More]

Two, if it turns out he's a jihadist!

This Day in History: February 12

In order to prevent a similar complaint against so important a part of our Military System as the Channel appointed for the equal distribution of public justice to every Member of the Army, on account of a defect of some certain Rules for the Government of General Courts Martial and their Officer the Judge Advocate; I wish you to take up the Matter on a General Scale and that you will Report to me what in general cases is and ought to be the business of a Judge Advocate—precisely delineating his duties as well with relation to the Court as with respect to the Accuser and accused.
