Gun Charge Gives More Character Clues to MLB Anthem Protester

With the understanding that due process requires a presumption of innocence until proven guilty, it’s also understandable that many Americans are unsympathetic to seeing him get into trouble in a crime of violence case involving a gun. That’s because, even though he was a rookie, he was the only Major League Baseball player to take a knee during the national anthem, and also happens to be a supporter of “progressive” politics, foremost of which are demands for more gun laws. [More]
Funny, how a highly-rewarded social justice warrior reportedly takes his anger out on working people.

I'm Missing the Obvious Here

“It’s pretty obvious who shot Mr. Pickert,” the physician wrote. “A gun-wielding wacko with multiple gun charges to his credit who had no qualms about shooting intruders or threatening people with a gun. My only hope is that the police are letting him run around free in an effort to follow his movements and gain further incriminating evidence.” [More]
It's "wacko" to shoot intruders?

Obviously there's a lot more to this than that.

Don't worry though -- the kneelers and owners probably won't be in the path of the stampede.

You won't see any of the big boys in "conservative media" touch stuff like this.

It Depends Upon What the Meaning of the Word 'Terrorism' Is

LaGrange College professor John A. Tures cross-examined various figures on gun crime and found that homicide rates are not markedly different for states with gun control for private sales versus states without. [More]

Michael Moore’s Attacks on 2nd Amendment Raise Bylaws Questions for NRA

And that leaves one of two possibilities: Either Moore has been lying all along about his life membership, always a distinct possibility, or someone in authority at NRA deliberately ignored rules that are mandated as binding on all. [More]
What's the point of having rules if  you allow them to be broken? Especially by this slug?

A Good Samaritan

Bravo and welcome, brother. [More]

But isolated anecdotes won't alter the reality of the danger.

The trick is to admit foreign nationals who will help "secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity" and to keep out the ones who won't. If they could do that, the numbers would be manageable.

But of course, they won't do that, because that's not what their masters want.

So all AREN'T Welcome...?

George Washington was one of the founding members of Christ Church in Alexandria, Virginia, buying pew No. 5 when the church opened in 1773 and attending for more than two decades whenever he rode north from Mount Vernon to do business in town. This weekend, the church announced it was pulling down a memorial plaque to its onetime vestryman and the country’s first president, saying he and another famous parishioner, Robert E. Lee, have become so controversial that they are chasing away would-be parishioners. [More]
How very "progressive."

So how come the only three black men on their staff page are basically PLOs?

O Come Let Us Adore It

[T]he mission of the new religion is to “develop and promote the realization of a Godhead based on Artificial Intelligence,” and “through understanding and worship of the Godhead, [to] contribute to the betterment of society.” [More]
And why not? Opposite Day "progressives" have already established they worship another creation of man, government.

The 'Force You to Hire Someone We Don't Trust with a Gun' Act

California becomes the 10th state to require both public- and private-sector employers to delay background checks and inquiries about job applicants’ conviction records until they have made a conditional job offer to the applicant.  [More]
That way, when you find out you're dealing with someone who is dangerous or otherwise undesirable, backing out can result in your financial ruin from a discrimination lawsuit.

Funny-- how come they insist on knowing up front about criminal background check results in order for a citizen to exercise a right?  Seems you could use the same "logic" about disproportionately-affected minorities...

Dead on 'Arrival'

I watched "Arrival" last night on Hulu.

12 huge alien ships have suddenly appeared hovering at seemingly random points around the globe. People are coming to grips with the reality of such a change everything event and relying on "the news" to learn whatever they can.

Per one of the reports:
"The ATF has put a temporary ban on new gun licenses, forcing many independent suppliers of hunting equipment and firearms to close their doors to the public."
Right.

Still, they do seem to have both government and "Authorized Journalists" pegged.

This is one of those situations where Hollywood scriptwriter ignorance accidentally stumbles on a core truth most -- not the media nor proponents of "existing law" -- want to admit: A NICS green light is nothing if not a license.

House of Tards

Look at all the "progressives" in comments finding some way to excuse Kevin Spacey over charges that he was a predatory pederast who only "came out" after getting exposed. [More]

I'm reminded of that other champion of newly-indignant casting couch beneficiaries, Rose McGowan, who only had kind things to say about another Hollywood deviant, Victor Salva (who still gets work for which "conservatives" need not apply).

As observed before, don't worry about it -- in another 20 years or sooner, anyone against it will qualify for SPLC's "Hate Watch" list.

Beloved actors. Is it any wonder their political opinions persuade us so?
