Apples and Oranges

While the First Amendment permits states to require licenses for demonstrations (for reasons of externalities that also underlie licensing requirements for guns), such licenses cannot be unreasonably delayed as that delay effectively undermines the right of free speech. [More]

Buying a gun does not require closing off public areas and making provisions for accomodating and controlling traffic and crowds.

The Self-Anointed Arbiters of 'Extreme' on Guns

Amy Coney Barrett is even more “extreme” on gun rights than her Republican defenders in the Senate [More]

And your point is?

Salon... isn't that the outfit that advocates "gutless NRA cowards ... can have a gun, once you understand the pain of being shot”?

Framing the Terms

Received by email:

In this 1984ish way we're re-naming/new-speaking so many things/groups/individuals, how about we re-label the "anti's" as "Infringers"?   This would cause those not clued-in to the struggle to think: "Infringers.....of what"?   Our side could then be right there, ready to provide all the details.  And for the already enlightened, it will provide them a brand new ear-catching verbal club to beat the commie-left senseless.  Remember the old saying about "He who controls the language....."   Well.....two can play that game!

Yep, Orwell knew.

We were promoting a similar effort 20 years ago on our old GunTruths site.

Heading for Happier Days!

Federal agents say new ballistics tool will help curb Richmond’s recent spike in violent crime [More]

How long have I been hearing this tune about a federal cure for Richmond?

I'll raise the same points I did here...

It Depends Upon What the Meaning of the Word 'Compromised' Is

CISA is aware of some instances where this activity resulted in unauthorized access to elections support systems; however, CISA has no evidence to date that integrity of elections data has been compromised. [More]

What the hell do you call hackers not being stopped from getting into the system?

Forgive me for questioning the assurances of the same people who can't figure out what Hillary deleted.

A Dead Elephant Tradition

“Where is the GOP’s priorities? Where are the lawyers for the Republican Party? How does the GOP complain about one instance of election interference while completely ignoring the other while being completely aware?” Loomer’s post continued. “Did you know that the RNC has refused to issue a statement about the fact that my campaign is the only deplatformed campaign in the nation despite the fact that they have been contacted multiple times about my campaign being banned?” [More]

The party hacks think "moderation" is the key and the embedded destroyers working for the Democrats don't want to disabuse them of that notion until it doesn't matter anymore.

Face the Music

Many top-selling rap artists have been implicated or convicted of violent crimes, including murder, manslaughter, attempted murder and armed robbery. [More]

And no one is worried that this is what tens of millions are rewarding and imprinting off of?

I wonder if an out-and-out racist would be able to figure out a more destructive thing to do to them and to the country than what the high-living industry elites, really no better than pushers and pimps, have pulled off.

So Much for Their 'Fair Share'

Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby and husband Nick Mosby - Democratic nominee for City Council president - were slapped with a $45,000 lien via the IRS for three years of unpaid taxes.  [More]

And to top it off, she "has an Executive Protection Team, made up of Baltimore Police detectives, who travel with her."

I guess with all that going for them, it'd be easy to be an anti-gun tax-and-spend Democrat.

We're the Only Ones Through a Class Darkly Enough

In less than four months, the new academy will be open at Lincoln University in Jefferson City and it will stand out from all the rest because it will be the first Historically Black College or University (HBCU) to house an academy. The new police academy in the state’s capital city hopes to bring more diversity to the police force. [More]

Does it sound to anyone else like what they're going for is the opposite of "diverse"?

The Sappiest Place on Earth

The bellman handling the bag to bring to the man’s room wondered why it was so heavy, made the discovery and reported it to his manager, who then contacted the sheriff’s office, the report said. [More]

So has he been fired?

That said, the gun owner seems a couple rounds short of a "30 magazine clip" himself, for not using a locked case, but also for giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

Not guilty plea from St. Louis couple who pointed guns at protesters [More]

Kinder, Gentler 'Gun Control'?

Well, they're not really common sense gun rights restrictions [More]

On that much, we can agree.

Roll back incrementally where feasible (and it's interesting I see an approximation of BIDS), but never presuppose the enemy is interested in anything but total control.

A Democrat Operative

"It’s going to take a strategic hit against the .1 percent that’s in charge, cause that’s who it is. Killing random Nazis in the street, random f—ing bootlickers," Jacks told an undercover journalist, naming Amazon chief executive officer Jeff Bezos first on his hit list. "If you want to do some Versailles sh*t. If you want to do some Antifa sh*t. You really want to change this country that way, with violence, there’s only one way to do it. You gotta get people that are close to billionaires and start just, random billionaires start turning up dead." [More]

Collaborators

On Tuesday, Amon joined Zachary Terwilliger, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, and Lawrence Keane, senior vice president and general counsel for the National Shooting Sports Foundation — the trade association for the firearm industry — to announce the collaborative effort to help stem the straw purchasing of firearms. Your Local Voter Guide

Pay Attention To Local Elections, Because Whoever Wins Can Make Your Life Miserable [More]

Too many don't. I'll bet over 95% of adults have never even been to a city council meeting, or know how to check their agenda and minutes online or find the municipal code. That's how Bloomberg gets mayors to join his coalition. That's what makes local mandarins think they can get away with introducing offensive ordinances and resolutions without public confrontation.

Even if we can't figure out where a local politician stands on certain issues, it doesn't take long to look them up online, see what we can figure out from their campaign and social media sites, including who supports them or who they support.  Another trick is to search for their name in quotation marks, followed by the + symbol and the word "gun."

That and never vote for any control freak prohibitionist with a (D) after their name.

Down to the Wire

A federal judge has extended the deadline for registering to vote in Virginia by 48 hours after the state’s online voter registration system went down because of an accidentally severed cable. [More]

Wit the permits that need to be obtained and the blueprints to guide engineer-directed, supervised work crews, I'm wondering if there has been an official inquiry into the "accident."

That's Why the Founders Considered Them Weapons of Peace

The founding generation believed that firearms should be used to guarantee the universal and inalienable liberties of the people laid out in the Constitution — whether they were in the government or not. [More]

Which explains why so many in government, like the contemptible dick Durbin, don't want you to have them. Imagine the mass predation he and his kind would be able to wreak unopposed if we didn't possess the means to deter that and make the costs of trying personal.

Political Mercenaries for Biden

“We are expanding our buys to defeat as many Republican senators as possible and contribute to the complete and total collapse of Trump and Trumpism.” [More]

Noting what their actions will bring about, having any current and future campaign dealings with any member of The Lincoln Project or Defending Democracy Together should disqualify any Republican candidate from the support of any gun owner.
