Why Doesn't He Change His Name to Orwell?

"Freeman" truly is Orwellian for this creature. How nice to see our new National Intelligence Council chair deem the ChiComs too restrained over Tienanmen Square, and applaud the routing of the Bonus March vets.

Freedom is slavery. [More]

UPDATE:
Oh look. No wonder he's so supportive of order in Beijing.

The Coming Assault Barbie Ban

The Barbie Ban Bill, proposed by Democratic Delegate Jeff Eldridge (D) Lincoln County, says such toys influence girls to place too much importance on physical beauty, at the expense of their intellectual and emotional development. [More]
Good grief.

Here's the bill.

Here's the idiot.

Do you think it's nature or nurture?

Because...

...we want our charges to be ignorant and sheeplike, and this works against that goal. [More]

Subversive idiots.

That Which Unites Us

Mayors in our coalition hold a diverse range of personal opinions on the Second Amendment. But we are united around one fundamental idea... [More]

Earning His Stripes

The chief federal judge in Southeast Georgia gave a judicial tongue-lashing to a Waycross firearms dealer for "self-serving" and "unbelievable" testimony about his failure to keep records of weapon transactions at his gun shop. [More]
I wouldn't mind administering a lashing myself.

To anyone who would presume authority over this matter without being able to produce authorization.

We're the Only Ones Demonic Enough

An evangelist cop who saw a demon at 1 Police Plaza and acted "godlike" is suing the NYPD to get his gun back. [More]
Why this "Only One" shouldn't be able to wield the flaming sword and keep the rest of us from the Tree of Life is not for us to question.

Hell, if he's in New York, he probably did see demons.

I wonder how many of them were in uniform?

Why Gun Confiscation May be Good for You

Black market guns will likely be cheaper than they were at the gun shop or sporting goods store. And no more serial numbers on guns or any of that silly paperwork to fill out. [More]
A silver lining...

I don't get the "Irish-American President" reference though...

We're the Only Ones Youth-Oriented Enough

What happens with the children, I asked. "They cry out," he answered. "And what happens when they cry out?" "Two persons will capture her while she is crying and another raping her, then they leave her there," came his reply. [More]
Any questions on why the government cannot have a monopoly of arms, that is, "Only Ones"?

Any doubts that this is what Paul Helmke, Eric Holder, Rebecca Peters, Mike Bloomberg, Richard Daley, et al will enable if they are allowed to prevail?

We're the Only Ones Minding Your Manners Enough

A Canadian who demanded courtesy from a U.S. border security guard says he was pepper sprayed and held in custody for three hours for asking the disrespectful officer to "say please" when ordering him to turn his car off during a search. [More]
This reminds me of the time when I instructed elder feral son Uday (or was it younger feral son Qusay?) to stop doing something irritating and he came back at me with "What's the magic word?"

"Now!" I growled.

When it involves "Only Ones," it stops being funny.

Who do we think we are, anyway?

Ignorance, Racism and "Gun Control"

Still, this opens the door to discussing a "third rail" we cannot avoid if we are to have a complete dialog: guns and race, or more accurately, gun rights and racism.

So when President Obama says "what works in Chicago may not work in Cheyenne," demographics must not be excluded from the factors he thinks make Chicago and Cheyenne dissimilar enough to warrant recognizing different rights. It's time to speak plainly about this and stop being, as AG Holder recently called us, "a nation of cowards" when it comes to race. [More]

Today's Gun Rights Examiner column takes on a volatile topic. You may want to help temper potential heat with light, so please feel free to weigh in, and please share this with your friends.

As usual, you can access columns from the other Gun Rights Examiners as well.

This Day in History: March 4

Our need of a Reinforcement owing to the departure of the Militia will, in a few days be so great, that if there are not Continental Troops to come forward, it will be proper for you to make application, in my name, to the Council of Safety for a Reinforcement of Militia, and I desire that you will in my Name also call upon the Commanding Officers of the Pensylvania Regiments, and the Regiment of the lower Counties, for a strict obedience to this order.
