What a Difference a Mindset Makes

They're having a gun show.

And the newspaper isn't going into hysterics.

See? Is rational, factual reporting really that hard?

That's because this our neck of the woods (Tulsa is 2 hours away - west). There is hardly an evening goes by that I don't hear gunfire from somewhere in the community (lately everyone sighting in their blackpowder rifles), and even (gasp!) fully automatic fire from time to time (geez, our "gun crime" is extremely low -- wonder why).

In fact, opening day of modern gun deer season will sound like a moderately active war zone (yours truly a participant in this).

Yep, its all about mindset, especially among the reporters.

Youins need to drop by ain see us sometime.
