There's some good stuff being turned out by the Gun Rights Examiners. I hope you're availing yourself of it, and importantly, sharing these links via emails, on blogs and forums, with your local newspaper editor, etc.

A common complaint is media bias and absence of representation for "our side."

These people work hard to change that and ask for nothing from those of us their labors serve other than to help spread the word. I hope no one thinks that's too much to ask.

I must live a sheltered life, because I just don't know anyone on a personal basis who exhibits such character traits. Perhaps it's why I've never been attracted to go into "public service."

We're the Only Ones Justified, Reasonable and Legal Enough

This does seem like the simplest solution.

We're the Only Ones (and You're Not) Enough

A man shot by an off-duty FBI agent along scenic Tantalus Drive yesterday afternoon was out on bail after allegedly posing as a police officer at the University of Hawai'i last week. [More]

First the fake Census workers, then the fake deputies and now this...well, they say things come in threes. Like "spates."

Fortunately, there was a real "Only One" on hand.

I say "fortunately," because the Aloha State is "may issue," meaning they may not. And isn't this interesting:

In Hawaii, carry is allowed with a permit, but is restricted to "On Duty, In Uniform" and one's employer must register through a local police department. Generally, uniformed security personnel and armored couriers are granted permits.

We're the Only Ones with the Right Idea Enough

James, however, says there's another group of private citizens who have the wrong idea about the Second Amendment. It's a growing movement around the Bay Area, California and the country. It's called "open carry," and participants openly carry unloaded firearms in public. [More]

Because as a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and militias, we just can't have people actually, you know, carrying guns.

That's just wrong.

Officer safety comes first, you see. They're taught that from "day one at the academy."

Ah yes, to secure the blessings of LEO simplicity--there's a reason to form a government.

Besides, who do these upstarts think they are? "Only Ones"?
