"I was there for the bit with his, like, nine bodyguards and three limos. It was really intense," Chris Pine said. [More]That also explains his hostility to DIY self-defense, and to Troglytes being armed as a matter of general principle.

That Explains the Going Boldly Part
Spreading the Love

And they're right-- the Love truck IS "bigger than anything in its way"! Just look at all those people who "coexisted" with the bumper, the grill, the treads...

See?
But that's not even why I showcased this-- what caught my eye is a link to an earlier Winkler piece that looks ahead, not back: "The NRA will fall. It’s inevitable."
It's a numbers game, you see, and look at the deciding factor everyone but a few of us lonely souls is ignoring:

It's a numbers game, you see, and look at the deciding factor everyone but a few of us lonely souls is ignoring:
The fastest-growing minority group in America is Latinos. Between 2000 and 2010, the nation’s Latino population grew by 43 percent. Hispanics, which make up 17 percent of the population today, are expected to grow to 30 percent of the population in the coming decades.
Gun control is extremely popular among Hispanics, with 75 percent favoring gun safety over gun rights.
Asian Americans also represent a growing anti-gun demographic. Although only about 5 percent of the population today, the Asian American population is predicted to triple over the next few decades. A recent poll of Asian American registered voters found that 80 percent supported stricter gun laws.Yep, just keep pretending cultural terraforming and a "pathway to citizenship" have nothing to do with that "single issue." I'm sure those doing that will have comfortably retired to enjoy the fruits of their sellout by then.
What's pathetic is how angry their supporters get when you point out their Fairfax emperors have no clothes. Why, anyone who does that must just be an NRA basher!
NIMBY
Jefferson County says their research shows 32 percent of their residents own a gun, but the closest range to shoot safely is at least 35 miles away. [More]I don't suppose it strikes the naysayers that this means their precious "Only Ones" guardians aren't regularly practicing either...

We're the Only Ones Foretelling Enough
"They would declare a state of emergency if something happened, but it's all too late at that point," Betley said. "Why not do it before something happens?" [More]So he wants a "Department of Pre-Crime" with full intervention powers?
And why would he think it's desirable to suspend RKBA during a state of emergency, when civil authority is triaged and people are on their own? Who does this guy think he is, Bill O'Reilly?
