“U.S. Court of Claims Judge Francis Allegra [said] his assessment of ATF’s treatment of me was ‘wretched,’ their acts were ‘purposeful,’ derived out of ‘professional jealousy’ and ‘simply spiteful,’” Dobyns told visitors to his website yesterday. “Judge Allegra went on to say that during trial, witnesses testifying for the government had answered questions in his courtroom with ‘less than candor.’ That is a tactful way of saying they committed perjury, or for the rest of us laymen -- they lied.” [More]This evening’s Gun Rights Examiner report notes the more things are represented as changed, the more they have stayed the same.

Dobyns case highlights continued ATF failures, corruption and abuse
We're the Only Ones Suppressing Evidence Enough
A bill drafted by the Fraternal Order of Police would force investigators to throw out any evidence of police brutality, corruption, racial profiling or other serious abuses if they made even a technical mistake while looking into suspected wrongdoing. [More]And we all know how seriously the FOP leadership takes its oath regarding the Second Amendment.
As do bill sponsors Frosh and Dumais, two police state-enabling fascists in the finest "progressive" tradition.
That's pretty bad when even the WaPo is against it. Part of me wouldn't mind seeing the bill pass-- the part that thinks we're not going to vote our way out, so we might as well let "Authoritah" accrue as many bitter enemies as the proclivity for corruption, abuse and brutality can make...
Come on, Marylanders: Nothing is too good for our Community Heroes!
Or do you want to do this the hard way?

Knox Knox. Who's There?
Comment poster "Free Forester" just left this under my "Mr. Spox" post from 2010:
I'm posting your comment here instead of there because it's very rare that someone goes back and reads blog posts from three years ago. If Kurt hadn't just linked to that old post, it would have remained buried. I'd expect someone who established a blog in 2007 to realize that, but then again, looking at your content, I guess not.
The other reason your comment doesn't qualify for posting there is I do not let my articles get hijacked. I said nothing about the Knox family and neither did any of the other comment posters. They were not the topic of the conversation I was inviting readers to have. If you have an axe to grind with them, tell them, not me, or if you are going to tell me, do it on a post related to them.
As a personal aside, while I value appropriate anonymity and am well aware of "Publius" and other even more needful examples, if I'm going to make public statements critical of others, I don't hide behind a screen name. I guess that colors how I perceive people who do.
Like son, like father. I was on the same old merry-go-round with Neal Knox two decades ago. The NRA has an abysmal track record when it comes to liberty, and the Knox family, for all the talk of the "Knox Rebellion", are traditional water-bearers for the Necrotic Republican Apologists. NRA-ILA started out as compromisers and mutated into Quislings. If I may:

What exactly do you have in mind for push-back? Flesh that out for us?
Tangentially-related, I see Google has taken it upon themselves to apply pressure against reporting on inconvenient truths. Funny, how they did nothing about "Spreading Santorum."

S'OK... we'll be universally adding foreigners and convicts to the rolls soon, and "progressive" support will skyrocket. Speaking of the former, check out the comments here.
