Curiously, one politician who agrees with Jeb and Grover and Michael and Rand is presumptive Democrat presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton, someone who is trying to establish a political dynasty of her own. Evidently coached with the same talking points, she declares herself to be a “huge supporter of immigration reform and a path to citizenship.” [More]Today's Gun Rights Examiner report notes it's not so much that opposites attract as they aren't really all that different.

We're the Only Ones Monitored Enough
While it's easy to think of superficial abuse prevention benefits to this, there are greater dangers to liberty if this ever becomes the "In common use at the time" norm. [More]
Aside from the obvious, how can an employment requirement be to forfeit your right against self-incrimination? We don't want to cross that line, even (especially) for a "good cause." At least I don't.
Besides, "smart guns" were initially developed under the pretense of being for cops. Anybody think this pretext won't be repeated here?
It's not like we haven't seen this particular camel try to stick its nose under that tent before.
Recalling a supposed Lenin quote, the thought of rope-selling economic fascist/"capitalists" being hanged from the yardarm by the collectivists they tried to ingratiate themselves with comes to mind...

"They're both hardworking, committed individuals." [More]Well one of them sounds like he will be -- committed -- anyway.

Today's Five-Minute Activism Project: Amplify "The Hickenlooper Blues"
At most it will take 10, because I've already done the link work.
We need notice and coverage. To that end, I just got done sending the message " The Hickenlooper Blues
http://youtu.be/aVIKV3eO68A " to:
http://drudgereport.com/ (there is a news tip box--scroll down in the right column)
Feel free to add other national outlets and figures who could help. Please help amplify this. Be a force multiplier, even if only to pick and do one or two of these, and by spreading the word.
Sorry, I just don't have Bloomberg's money to be able to hire a PR agency.
Tomorrow I'll try to come up with a similar list for CO-specific media.

Because "government" can't be everywhere. [More]
Thank goodness.
And as we've seen before, it's not just against lone wolves, but against wolf packs, too.

Night of the Living Dems
Have you noticed that just as The Invasion of the Body Snatchers was a metaphor for communist infiltration in the 50s, that "zombies" resemble present day collectivists? They are ravenous, hard to stop, go around in bunches, cannot be negotiated with or reasoned with, only walled out or confronted with deadly force. [More]Not just "present day," Mike:
Reichstyles of the Rich and Famous
Yesterday’s Publicola revelation that anti-gun billionaire Michael Bloomberg has personally contributed another $285,000 to pass Initiative 594 in Washington state suggests that the former New York mayor will stop at nothing to push his brand of restrictive gun control into law across the country, worried activists suggest. [More]The finest citizen disarmament edicts money can buy...
And yeah, he will stop at nothing.
AmmoLand Picks Up Hickenlooper Blues
This will be a nice boost in terms of visibility among gun owners. [More]
But if those who see it are mere consumers, rather than force multipliers, nothing will change. You'll note the "legitimate news media" has ignored it so far.
So that means whether or not this gets shared is up to you. To share with friends and to chide both the "mainstream" and "conservative" press to cover it.
Otherwise, expect this.

This was my take, when I addressed it.

Sounds Like an A-Rater to Me
“I’ve been pretty clear that I don’t think the NRA is helpful when it comes to firearms,” Hodgson, a former state prosecutor, said. The tenor of the debate should “mature and respectful,” he said. [More]Yeah, baby!
Where do we respectfully and maturely send campaign contributions, again?
By the way, thank that fascist Kilmartin, who, as a retired "Only One" enjoys certain privileges and immunities far beyond those of mortal men. By lumping NRA in with "right-wing groups," he has inadvertently cut the legs out from under so-called "pro-gun Democrats."
Not that so-called "pro-gun Republicans" like this disrespectful ingrate are worth a damn. Still, he deserves a sort of thanks as well, for once more helping to illustrate how NRA members continue to be played by their hirelings, who also appear to be doing their best to torpedo a national shift, and all that will go with one.
Thrills at the Fair!
Two men leaving the North Carolina State Fair were robbed at gunpoint last night as they left the North Carolina State Fair in Raleigh, NC. [More]What, no escorts?
Sounds like the parking lot's a dangerous place. At least Troxler's Dodge didn't get a scratch on it. Yet.
I mean his tractor. Who needs paid escorts when you're a sexy tractorman?
