GOA’s Pratt talks ‘Project Gunwalker’ over Fox host Megyn Kelly’s objections

Believing it relevant to the discussion, Pratt introduced key points involving “Project Gunwalker,” allegations about gun monitoring operations by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) gone awry. Host Kelly quickly tried to steer away from that, claiming it unfair to talk about because ATF was not there to defend themselves. Pratt replied they will not talk about it with Sen. Grassley, so they will not talk about it with her. [More]
This evening's Gun Rights Examiner report notes that the truth will get out there--even over the objections of so-called "conservatives."

Y'know, I was just thinking of posting the Fox link and asking readers to leave the comment "Google Project Gunwalker," but I like his link to the Journalist's Guide idea better.

BREAKING: ‘Project Gunwalker’ charges surfacing on Fox News

It is clear that, as major media gradually begins their own investigations, they continue to corroborate the story that a small handful of activists have been urging them to cover since its inception. [More]
The story is starting to break big, and everything the "pros" can uncover confirms what Mike Vanderboegh and I have been telling them and begging them to look at.

We're the Only Ones with a Hit Single on the Radio Enough

A shot was fired by the third officer as she stood nearby. The bullet hit another officer's radio, which was in his gun belt, according to police. [More]
"As she stood nearby."

Sounds like as good a reason for a paid vacation to me as any...

We're the Only Ones Accountable Enough

"This was an important case for holding the police officers accountable for their misconduct," Hall's attorney, John Burris, told the San Francisco Chronicle. [More]
I guess the mouthpiece gets his cut of the settlement, so he can say that.  But I don't see where the badged criminal who planted the gun either paid for anything out of his own pocket, let alone served any time for lying on police reports, perjuring himself, false incarceration--hell, call it what it is--kidnapping.

Sounds like he's enjoying a retirement with pension instead courtesy of the people who were held accountable.  And naturally:
The Oakland Police Department denies wrongdoing in the incident...
No surprise there.

New York City’s gun permit system reflects elitism, not equality

The goal is for the entire Republic to reflect the edicts of the Big Apple, where you and I are disarmed by law, that is unless and until we either can join the ruling elites or serve them as their enforcers.  [More]
Today's second Gun Rights Examiner column looks at the lifestyles of the rich and famous.

Oh, you're not one?

Furious Mike and Co. say "Too bad."

Do you have anything you'd like to say back to them?

Return of the People of the Gun

Ammo.net asked me if I'd be interested in hosting a sponsored ad for their People of the Gun website, and having been a long-time "member" of the original page, I was more than happy to. Please note the click-through graphic in the sidebar, and the link to the Ammo.net main page in the WoGroll.

What are the People of the Gun?  They describe themselves as:
A tribe of firearm owners and bloggers; just ordinary Americans, many of them your friends and neighbors. We believe in and practice the constitutional and natural right to protect our families, ourselves, and our homes.
As for Ammo.net, they also support patriotic groups that need funds to carry out their missions. They make a 1% donation on your behalf to your chosen pro-gun or pro-military organization.  We don't have a George Soros-type benefactor, so think of it as "brassroots" activism.

If you have a website and would like to support this effort, click here to grab the code to embed the POTG graphic. If you'd like to "join the club," click here to give them your display information and profile photo.

Safe Places

Parks. [Read]

Told you so.

No catastrophic damage to Mother Gaia, either.

It's not easy being a shrieking, spittle fleck-lipped hoplophobe these days. First no Wild West shootouts over fender benders by peaceable concealed and open carriers, and now this.

Soldier of Fortune’s Brown backs Steve Schreiner for NRA Board

The Nominating Committee has not selected him, however. Per Brown:
NRA will not endorse him ‘cause they think he is "too much of a zealot." My response is that we could use a few more "zealots" on the BOD. [More]
Today's first Gun Rights Examiner column asks what's wrong with a little zeal when it comes to fighting for unalienable rights?

This Day in History: February 22

22d. Called the Chiefs together to consult about sending off scouting parties to the rivers mouth, to the falls of Ohio, and to Kaskaskias-- They said they would consider of it, and give me an answer-- This day made a small magazine in the fort coverd with raw hides.

Seven Shawanese came in from their wintering ground on white River, where was an encapment of 40 of them. [More]
