Diane Sawyer’s ABC News hit piece on guns may show violation of Florida law

While ABC could argue that parental permission was obtained, the fact is, the children in the video were not under direct “supervision” of anyone “having charge” of them -- the "adults" were all in the “control room” watching their “experiment” on TV monitors. [More]
Today’s Gun Rights Examiner report notes how many rules the “Authorized Journalists” and “Only Ones” managed to violate while presuming to lecture America on gun safety.

Microgunbanning

As I've observed before, the only ones that hurts are those on our side. Until each individual company  in the industry makes a Ronnie Barrett commitment, all the pain will be unilateral.  It probably couldn't be done as anything other than individual decisions, without being coordinated with other companies, to avoid antitrust collusive practices complications.  That said, any hold-outs still selling to state agencies (or individual LEOs who are exempt from list restrictions) ought to be told the facts of life in no uncertain terms by a united gun owner front.

And while we're at it, let's stop providing training to those who will use it against us.

UPDATE:  See and share the link to Kurt's latest, "If gun makers opposed to 'microstamping' help murderers, so do CA police chiefs."  See, the nice thing abut being a commie subversive is you don't actually need to substantiate anything you say or worry about reality refuting it -- just get the meme out there and your useful idiots will do the rest.

The Hoplophobe Queen

“I am not a person who handles guns. I don’t own guns. I don’t…they shock me, quite frankly. We’re an open carry state and when I see people open carrying their guns, while it may be perfectly legal, it creates a visceral, personal, physical reaction in me as it does in other people…” [More]
If you think about it, considering what the Founders deemed being necessary to the security of a free State, she's admitting she took her oath under fraudulent pretenses and that she has been carrying out her duties with deliberate indifference in a manner that is nothing short of malpractice and criminal negligence.

Black Sunday

The snipers will just be doing their job so fans can have an enjoyably safe experience. [More]
They keep using that word "enjoyably." Why am I envisioning Inigo Montoya?

Oops-- my bad.  The actual phrase is “enhance[ing] the gameday experience.”

True to tradition, I couldn't even tell you who's playing this year, I so do not care.

There's a team in Jersey...?

Fancy That

The idea on which they differed was on the purpose of the Second Amendment as a means to resist tyranny. “It’s fanciful to think that guns in the hands of citizens acts as a realistic check,” said Donohue. “They’re not really trained to do so. And it’s fanciful to think that the military would ever turn on U.S. citizens.” [More]
"Ever" is a long time. Especially with the grid so vulnerable, the economy strained to the breaking point and foreign and domestic enemies stepping up the belligerence as their capabilities increase.

Where in history is any civilization guaranteed stasis? Has not despotism and mass destruction plagued every civilization that preceded ours? Is it not, in fact, still commonplace throughout the globe? By what suspension of reality, by what denial of the observable and the probable, by what art, device or magic are we sheltered few immune from catastrophe? Are we certain, from our brief and privileged vantage point, that such things will ever remain headline curiosities? Is it not just plain stupid to proclaim that our familiar way of life will forever be the norm, when everything that has gone before us shows we are, instead, the extremely lucky beneficiaries of a rare and fortunate convergence of circumstances; and one, by the way, that has only been preserved under force of arms?

Methinks the good "professor" is a dolt.

“There has not been a recent week without shootings somewhere,” said Rep. Bruce Hunter, D-Des Moines, after learning of the assault rifle giveaway by Iowa Gun Owners. “I find their lack of common sense and lack of good taste to be appalling right now.” [More]

You know, registration, blanket dragnets and violating Question 11.a. on the 4473, the one with the clear warning:
I understand that answering “yes” to question 11.a. if I am not the actual buyer is a crime punishable as a felony under Federal law, and may also violate State and/or local law.
How heads-up of you to catch that, "Authorized Journalist/real reporter" Eric Bradley!

Oh...you didn't?

Ah well, no matter.  I'm sure my once-former city of residence will be safer for it, as these guys and these guys trip all over themselves trying to oblige us all.
