Today's Five-Minute Activism

[Take Action] Trump’s Bump Stock Regulations Can Turn 500,000 Gun Owners into Felons [More]
And as bad as that is, it's not the worst of it, no matter how many ignoramuses tell you it's just about bump stocks, as opposed to an executive power grab the Democrats will be happy to expand upon when it's their turn.

Yes, They Really are Coming for Your Guns

We're the Only Ones Craven Enough

Broward sheriff's deputies cowered behind cars, tree with Parkland shooter believed in school, report says [More]
Hey, they had a home to get to at the end of their shift.  Besides, there were no yapping dogs.

It does explain why Sheriff Israel wants to disarm Americans who might not hide in terror from aggressors, and who would hunt them down instead.

At lesast our community heroes manned up with the Kashuv menace.

We're the Only Ones Electrifying Enough

Security officer arrested after using stun gun on 14-year-old Normandy middle-schooler [More]
Hey, maybe the kid needed to be reminded who was in charge...

Poverty, Opposite Day 'Progressive'-Style

The Southern Poverty Law Center Is Sitting on $477 Million [More]
Those are some pretty deep pockets, which explains why they insinuate a lot more than they flat-out accuse.

The Oldest War

What the Evangelical Elites Don't Understand [More]
True, there's no shortage of useful idiots paving the road to hell with good intentions.  But there are principalities and powers manipulating them that know exactly what they're doing -- and why.

Gathering No Moss

Lawyer To Kyle Kashuv: Stop Complaining About Officers Questioning You. Internet Responds. [More]
Using idiot lawyer Bradley P. Moss's "rationale" that going to the range warrants such scrutiny, we all should be subjected to such police state harassment.

When the Rubber Meets the Pathway

On Wednesday the Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in the Trump “travel ban” case, and the core issue will be stark and clear: Do laws mean what they say? [More]
My eyes are on SCOTUSblog.

My prayer is that my fears about Gorsuch aren't confirmed.

Unclear on the Concept?

Georgetown students defend Second Amendment, call on university to arm police officers [More]
I'm glad I read more than the headline, because my first reaction was demanding "Only Ones" is not what it's all about. The students want to be armed, too, which is as it should be.

And if the answer remains "No"...?

Never Mind?

Boulder councilman withdraws proposal to refer assault-weapons ban to voters [More]
So after all this he's pulling an Emily Litella?

He must have believed the hype about 98% of Americans wanting it and is shocked to find some take it very, very personally.

As should he.

I could be wrong, but I'd be surprised to see the council just do this on its own. My guess, based on prior experience with such creatures overestimating their power and importance, is they're wishing the idiot hadn't poked the hornets' nest around them.

Commonsense Regime Safety Laws

Is this hyperbolic fear-mongering, or are these type of restrictions being implemented?  [More]
Obviously the former, since it could never happen here!  We're different!

Big Brother was an Amateur

The New GRTC Pulse System Will Bring Round-The-Clock Cameras to More Than 7 Miles of Broad Street [More]
That way they'll get a nice recording of your murder. With caveats:
...GRTC officials say they're unable to divulge the technical specifics of the cameras, including how much, how far and at what resolution the cameras capture activities around the bus stops...
Why does that remind me of this old bit?

Hey, at least everybody involved is enjoying "our" plundered earnings.

One More Thing to Get Hysterical Over

In Ohio, a convicted felon barred from owning a gun could still purchase one after passing a background check – all because dozens of courts have failed to upload some paperwork. [More]
Just goes to show it's all kabuki.

And who thinks that's the preferred method?

Or that any "law" but this can have any hope of making a difference?

Available in Paperback and Kindle

I have not read it so I can't give a review, but from the "Look Inside" preview, I'm looking forward to seeing more. [Amazon Link]

I will hold off on placing my order though -- until I can find out if they've set aside an autographed supply or where to send a self-addressed stamped envelope to. I like having autographed books, and to me, it would be worth paying a bit extra for shipping and handling.

No Cigar -- Yet

“Republicans shouldn't be hitting the alarm, they should be slamming it," said Mike Noble, a GOP pollster based in Arizona. He added: "This district isn't supposed to be competitive, and so to see this margin, especially with the Republicans pouring in resources here — again, it's a tough year." [More]
In the case of this race, gun owners should have come out in force. I wonder how many did not.

Go ahead, tell me one vote doesn't matter.

I just have too many other priorities to analyze what happened here to make the race so close. I suspect a lot of outside money went into getting out the Democrat vote and also won't be surprised if I see "reporting" strongly favored Tiperneni over Lesko.

Like this.

Co-worker Gun-Grab an Agenda-Advancing Expansion of Rights-Denying Orders

On the surface – to those who don’t look too deeply below it – protection orders can sound reasonable and what the gun-grabbers call “common sense” (as long as you don’t question American citizens being stripped of a fundamental right without being convicted of anything). And that has put the ACLU, of all groups, on the right side of the issue and at odds with the NRA and no shortage of supposed “conservatives.” [More]
Guilty until proven innocent? What could go wrong?

When Seconds Count

Can't you just see this knife-wielding bipolar vessel full o' demons in a pink pussy hat? [Watch]

Note the effectiveness of calling 911.

This was done back in May 2017 and while I have found a couple posts describing the video, I haven't been able to find a follow-up with identifying and additonal details that we can't already see for ourselves. If you know, please feel free to share the backstory and/or a link.

Enforcers Intimidate Parkland Student for Going to Gun Range with Father

He was attacked on Twitter by leftist ankle-biters accusing him of grandstanding for attention and intimidating Stoneman Douglas survivors. Other students, indoctrinated to be good little informants for the state, “complained” to the school, resulting in Kashuv being dragooned by armed “school resource officers” and grilled as if he were suspected of plotting the next massacre. [More]
They weren't so brave when there was a real threat to students, were they?

Para los NiƱos

An MS-13 gang member tried to sneak into the U.S. last week by posing as an Unaccompanied Alien Child (UAC), the Border Patrol said Tuesday, hoping to take advantage of lax American laws that give UAC a quick foothold in the U.S. [More]
I don't know if it's really the laws that are lax so much as the commitment and resources to enforce them, combined with utter betrayal at the behest of special interests by entrenched members of the political and judicial establishment.

The Despised

Hatred of journalists on the rise worldwide, watchdog says [More]
Like people catching on how they're being manipulated and lied to need Trump or trolls to gin them up. Notice how the DSM blames it on everyone but themselves, which is another reason to hold them in contempt.
