Bloomberg state-level gun threat recalls little-heeded warning

“Bloomberg’s MAIG expanding ‘action group’ efforts to states,” this column reported in July. “[The] anti-gun group has quietly been registering its lobbying efforts in several states … The Mayors Against Illegal Guns Action Group, a 501(c)(4) corporation, has registered with numerous states since September of last year.” [More]
Today’s Gun Rights Examiner report notes a little noticed and largely ignored warning is quickly coming to pass as all the parts fall into place. Will you be informed, ready and engaged? Those with an eye on your guns are counting on the answer being “No.”

Did We End Phony, Evil "No Guns Zones"?

No. [More]

Until we focus on that, we've done nothing to diminish incentives.

Full of Sound and Fury

All Bloomberg's "demands" truly are "a tale told by an idiot." [More]

Ultimately, unless we surrender, it signifies nothing. That's up to me and you.

Why Not Try a Different Approach?

Why not take the Ronnie Barrett approach and tell him to go to hell, and that he and his "Only Ones" can do without guns? [More]

I don't want to do business with anyone who does bushiness with him.  I want to know who does so I can tell them to go to hell.

I don't think "our side" should help thug regimes train, either.

Fight for every inch of ground where you're not forced to retreat.  Because if you don't, they'll take it and use the advanced position to launch their next attack.

Don't Quit Your Day Job?

Tonight I was raided by a joint DEA / ATF task force in connection with my day job at the cannabis dispensary. They actually revoked my FFL and took every fire arm I was in possession of, which included your guns and receivers. [More]
I haven't seen any confirmation of this anywhere, so if anyone has any knowledge, please share it.

I now the feds haven't recognized state medical marijuana initiatives, and ATF specifically said users are prohibited, but I'm not aware of a rule that says if you work in a dispensary and don't use it that you can then be singled out like this.

Update: I asked a respected source if he was aware of any rule about that, and here's his reply:
No, not at all. Never heard of such a thing. Always more to these stories though. Seizing the guns too is a big step. Suggests to me there's something criminal afoot, or they would just take the FFL and leave the guns to be taken in by the licensee personally.

We're the Only Ones Unaware Enough

The four sergeants and three officers involved were unaware that it's legal to open carry in city parks and has been since gun laws changed statewide in 2003.[More]
Great, so these ignorant boobs are out there enforcing non-existent "laws" under force of arms.  The guy's lucky he wasn't killed.
The City of Colorado Springs has paid $23,500 to a man mistakenly arrested for carrying an open weapon.
No, the people of Colorado Springs paid him.  Hell, factoring state and federal plunder shared with municipalities into the equation, we probably all did. Not that we can count on the "real reporters" at "Colorado's News Leader" to make their viewers aware of that.
