More than I can handle, actually, and the workload on this end is just getting more demanding...
So if you've sent me one and I haven't used it or emailed you back, don't assume it's because I don't appreciate it. There's just one of me, with miles to go before I sleep and a full plate already committed to for tomorrow as well.

Going Postal
Bonidy is a responsible, law-abiding citizen with a permit to carry a firearm who lives in rural Colorado. Like millions of other Americans, he obtained such a permit so that he might be prepared to defend himself outside of his home. When the U.S. Postal Service advised Bonidy that he would be subject to prosecution simply for momentarily storing his firearm in the trunk of his vehicle in an unsecured parking lot made available for postal patrons, Bonidy sought a determination that applying the postal regulation to him under such circumstances would violate the Second Amendment. We need a law, and now, to close the diabolical booby trap loophole! Publicity-hungry politicos must gin up the hysteria against ... let's see, what would they call them? ... death clips!
Just think, unless we do something, what's to stop someone with no background check, who's accused of domestic violence and on the terror watchlist, from bringing one of these within 1,000 feet of a school!!??!!
Say... reproducing this here won't get me in trouble for ITAR infractions, will it? Or will I be as safe as ATF setting up gunwalking to Mexico?

Endorsements Pour In For Hillary Clinton From Gun Control Advocates [More]First off, the very name "Think Progress" is about the most perfect Opposite Day example there is.
Did you ever read the story of Clai Lasher-Sommers? So her reaction to a defective mother's appalling cowardliness, lack of judgment in selecting a mate, abdication of her duty to protect her children and desperation for a MA-an! is somehow a claim on everybody else's rights?
And Trayvon's mom wants Hillary because why? So you can have an enraged six-footer straddling you and beating your head into the sidewalk, and not be allowed to respond to potentially lethal force in kind?
Hey, wanna see something that works better than ipecac?

OK, now it makes sense.
Seriously though, what do they pay this person? Minimum six figures, I'll bet.

Many Hands Make Light Work
Looks like the first chance for everyone will be the first weekend in February -- the 5th, 6th and 7th. [More]Mike plans a working weekend barbecue.
It would be nice if those attending planned with him to get an expected head count, and then figured out who needs to bring what in terms of food and drink. It would be nice if some who can't attend sent gift cards redeemable at local supermarkets. It would be nice if Mike's friends spread the word on this to recruit support -- not just for the work weekend, but for the overall gratitude offering project.
Claire Wolfe offers some additional insights.

Interesting Feminist Icon to Exploit
Just one thing:
Besides, who better for the Opposite Day crowd to revere as forward thinking than a racist eugenicist?
Alice Paul, who drafted the original version of the Equal Rights Amendment, referred to abortion as "the ultimate exploitation of women."Ah well,if there's one thing "progressives" have taught us from the way they view the Constitution, original intent is a "living" conviction...
