A Person of Even More Interest

In "A Person of Interest," we saw the way a man who killed two deputies was being tied in with militias and veterans.

And now, as Paul Harvey would say, is "the rest of the story."

Cartwright was a former contract security guard who had provided ARMED gate security for Hurlburt Field AFB. He had applied to join the GS civilian ARMED guard force that recently replaced the contract guards at Hurlburt.

So... this guy was licensed and certified by the state to carry a semi-automatic pistol as his JOB, did so on a USAF base (a Special Ops base, no less), AND passed a federal background check to boot.

I am told these are his licenses (not the same as CCW). My understanding is a D license is to be a security guard and a G license is to be an armed security guard. Note I provided these links for information only, and am not implying any connection between Cartwright and this security school.

Blogger’s Events Get Hinky

Very weird. And completely predictable.

Here's the first-hand account from the the lady I told you about here, one I'd never communicated with until a couple days ago when she asked if any of the Gun Rights Examiners could shed any light on why she was rejected from the Pr...uh...Blog Bash. One point to clear up--when she says "he" in her narrative, she did not realize she was corresponding with a female.

There's one other thing I'd like to clear up, something I've heard from a couple sources now as a result of people making inquiries. There is a bitter accusation being made that I am anti-NRA.

That is a lie. It is equivalent to saying if you criticize the president you are anti-American. I stated my position on that here and it has not changed.

It's not surprising though. That's also where the "Threepers don't work within the system" lie comes from.

I KNEW I Forgot to Mention Something...

I had a nagging feeling after yesterday's "Faces of Death" post that I was leaving something out. It just hit me.

Using official crime scene photos for personal enjoyment is beyond reprehensible. Using them for personal gain may be criminal.

A few years back in one of my reports on "Crime Gun Solutions" (an anti-gun consulting firm run by ex-BATFU careerists), I wondered if this bizarre "welcome" photo from their website was a staged or an actual crime scene photo--and if the latter, who authorized their use of it in a for-profit venture.

See, once we have you numbed down with Soma, everything will be alright. And we won't even have to worry about the psychopharmaceutical/shooting spree nexus, because, well, we're going to be just like Japan, silly.

See, the government isn't against all mind-altering drugs--just the ones that disrupt control.

And don't worry--once we're ready for mass implementation, we'll have all the mechanisms in place--along with an obedient media--to ridicule anyone who objects as a fluoridation paranoid.

And don't look for Colleen Kollar-Kotelly to block it because of no "environmental impact study."
