Legal compliance firm for gun dealers says B. Todd Jones leaving ATF for NFL

“I’m hearing from credible sources that Director Jones will be leaving ATF soon, possibly as early as next week, and leaving government as well, to take a private sector job,” Gun Rights Examiner informed ATF’s Public Affairs/Media Relations spokesperson in a Thursday morning telephone conversation inviting a for-the-record comment. “One source mentioned the NFL is bringing him on board as investigative counsel. I am told Deputy Director [Thomas] Brandon will become Acting Director.” [More]
This afternoon's Gun Rights Examiner report notes what could either be a scoop or egg on my face. Stay tuned and we'll either see me humiliated or someone else get the major media hat tip.

Gun-hating 'James Bond' violates cardinal safety rule in ‘Spectre’ promo poster

You’d think the anti-gun frauds representing themselves as “common sense gun safety advocates” would be the ones screaming loudest about this and demanding “Spectre” publicists pull their poster and replace it with one that doesn't violate a critical safe gun-handling rule. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner report notes a license to kill is evil enough without adding through stupid negligence to the sanctioned methods.

And then there's this, offered without my informed endorsement because I don't know enough about it, but nonetheless find interesting.

I don't suppose there's anything to worry about. If there were, our leaders in Congress and our watchdog media would be screaming to the heavens, don't you think?

The Replacements

Bill Gates thinks super machines could eventually become smarter than humans and take our jobs [More]
So then what happens with all those foreigners you're helping bring in, Bill?

Who wants to disarm for this guy?

What's an Opposite Day "progressive" president to do?

Threaten sanctions against Israel, silly!

Who thinks domestic enemies aren't "in charge"?

Anyone? Bueller?

Built on a Lie

What DOJ found made me ill. Wilson knew about the theft of the cigarillos from the convenience store and had a description of the suspects. Brown fought with the officer and tried to take his gun. And the popular hands-up storyline, which isn’t corroborated by ballistic and DNA evidence and multiple witness statements, was perpetuated by Witness 101. In fact, just about everything said to the media by Witness 101, whom we all know as Dorian Johnson, the friend with Brown that day, was not supported by the evidence and other witness statements. [More]
Yeah, but since when is the truth important when there is a narrative to exploit?

We're the Only Ones Forgetting Our Place Enough

Florida Carry, Students for Concealed Carry, the Unified Sportsmen of Florida, and the National Rifle Association learned yesterday that Florida's University Police are using public funds, your tax dollars, to lobby the legislature against the right of Floridians to defend themselves from criminal attack on any property owned by our colleges and universities. [More]
This seems as good a time as any to resurrect a passage from "One of the People," Philadelphia Federal Gazette, July 2, 1789:
"What should we think of a gentleman, who, upon hiring a waiting-man, should say to him—'my friend, please to take notice, before we come together, that I shall always claim the liberty of eating when and what I please, of fishing and hunting upon my own ground, of keeping as many horses and hounds as I can maintain, and of speaking and writing my sentiments upon all subjects.' A servant must be a fool, who would not suppose such a master to be a madman... Let these truths sink deep into our hearts: that the people are the masters of their rulers and that rulers are the servants of the people..."

San Diego cop kills service dog after knocking on wrong door: owner [More]
Let's see, we know the owner's name and we know the dog's name.

It must not be in the public interest for us to know the name of "the officer."

Strangling Choke Point

Sen. Mike Crapo will offer an amendment Thursday to the Senate’s budget proposal that would defund the Justice Department’s controversial program known as Operation Choke Point. [More]
Just like they defunded Obama's amnesty?

There's talking and there's doing.

I'm tired of giving people political points for making noises and posturing while the sellout continues.

The Few, the Proud, the Disarmed

Prior to that departure, officials said, larger crew-served weapons were destroyed within the embassy, and Marines' personal sidearms were rendered unusable and discarded upon arrival at the airfield in Sanaa. [More]
There have been a lot of denials on this story as it unfolded, including that it happened or that State ordered it.  This seems pretty definitive and pretty shameful, and extremely fortunate that it did not result in obscene and unforgivable disaster and tragedy.

Why do I have the feeling that this goes all the way to the top, and that any action by Congress will be stonewalled as Democrat politicians charge Republicans with conducting a partisan vendetta, and "progressive" media apologists pull the old ignore, then distract and smear shuffle?

Gosh, it's almost like there's a playbook or something...

We're the Only Ones Taking Selfies Enough

Off By Just a Hair

310,000 is quite different than 80,000, isn't it? [More]

See, when you also lie about not needing to comply with the Administrative Procedures Act and publish in the Federal Register, you can bury comments -- and it has the added benefit of others not being able to see considerations that can educate them and inspire them to build upon.

Strolling Down the "Pathway to Citizenship"

DHS released another 30,000 criminal aliens onto streets [More]
Meanwhile, what the evil minds doing this to engineer a demand for more controls complain about -- with full useful idiot media cheerleading -- are "guns on the street."

Good thing none of this affects that "single issue," isn't it?

"Progressives." Opposite Day.

A few of those students may mature enough to realize that some day.

That's the same attitude she took when in charge of DHS, by the way, and those doing the protesting were us "haters."

A Different Position

Mair, it seems, has different positions than Walker on immigration, gay marriage and abortion. [More]
So what's Walker's position on immigration, Derek Hunter?  How is it "different," and by that I don't mean opposing the way Obama is going about it, I mean in end results. How will it not result in a "pathway to citizenship," with millions of new Democrat/anti-gun voters?

Don't give us platitudes and anecdotes, give us demonstrable facts that can be independently validated.

And what does it say about making people who diametrically oppose what you pledge to people you stand for part of your inner circle?  How does that translate into presidential policy and its execution?

"Circular firing squad"  means people are on your side. Who the hell's side are you on, treating something voters have a right to know about like an enemy attack?

How is it you could be an establishment press secretary, spin policies that you know were wrong, and still look at yourself in the mirror? Why shouldn't we believe that's exactly what you're doing now?

Your "different position" seems to actually be two old ones, where you're on your knees servicing your clients and Americans looking to Republicans for actual solutions are told to bend over and fake like we're enjoying being used.

Slave Codes, 2015

New Jersey, naturally... [More]

Funny, how the people SPLC says are the haters are the ones who want to see this man go free and get his gun back -- and how the diverse and tolerant Opposite Day "progressives" want him made an example of and punished.

This Day in History: March 19

The policy of G. Britain now, if I have formed a right judgment, is to sooth America as much as possible in order to weaken the band and make her uneasy under the Alliance if the policy, or situation of France with respect to the other Belligerent powers renders it necessary to continue the War another Campaign. This, or some Manoeuvre which may be performed with safety during the equipment of the Fleet at Cadiz must undoubtedly, be the cause of the present procrastination of the Negociations at Paris. [More]
