What Can I Do?

Kent McManigal has an idea for a rapid response system to support liberty-oriented letters to the editor. [More]

We're the Only Ones Gun Running Enough

A Nashville police officer is one of five people indicted on charges of conspiring to illegally purchase weapons that were later smuggled to Guatemalan drug cartels. [More]
Which is all the reason we need to ban "assault weapons"!

Hey, if we can't trust "Only Ones," what makes you think we can trust you?

Stone on Stone Mountain

Stone Mountain Park settled its lawsuit with the grassroots activist group GeorgiaCarry.Org recently, agreeing to drop its complete ban on firearms within the park boundaries. [More]
Ed Stone brings news of a legal victory that he and his group made happen.

He calls my attention to a statement by an "Only One"-worshiper:
The folks who are adamantly in favor of that see themselves as substitutes for law enforcement and that’s very dangerous.
Damn vigilantes!

An UnAmerican Police Force

Even though they call themselves "American Police Force."

Who are these guys?

The Billing Gazette can't find out.

Some say Blackwater, and point to all kinds of behind-the-scenes dealings.

Some say Hardin is a test town. They test subjects, don't they?

And what's with the Serbian coat of arms?

The secrecy surrounding this ought to be a red flag for us all. How any government official is allowed to get away with not coughing up everything they know about this is beyond me.

UPDATE: A-ha!

Looks like the guy behind it all is Professor Harold Hill, and Hardin is River City Ioway...

[Thanks, ebd10]

We're the Only Ones All in the Family Enough

A Henderson police officer involved in a fatal shooting in 2008 and later accused of having an inappropriate relationship with his minor sister-in-law has resigned from the Henderson Police Department. [More]
Further confirmation that "Only Ones" are more trustworthy and have superior morals and judgment over us ordinary slobs...

We're the Only Ones King of Pain Enough

Portable pain weapon may end up in police hands [More]
Well, I guess as long as we restrict it to the "Only Ones" it's OK then. I mean, just as long as it's used for it's stated purpose, "to control civilians."

Who could possibly object to that?

A Drop in the Bucket

Gun advocates predict drop in crime if gun ban is lifted [More]
Yeah, you'll see some results trending in a positive direction when peaceable people can protect themselves. But I wouldn't expect any miracles, as a good part of the violence is taking place among a population that won't see its prohibited status affected one way or another. And McDonald won't do a thing as far as legalized carry is concerned:
At issue are Chicago’s laws (1) banning the registration of handguns, thus effecting a broad handgun ban; (2) requiring that guns be registered prior to their acquisition by Chicago residents, which is not always feasible; (3) mandating that guns be re-registered on an annual basis, including the payment of what amounts to an annual tax on the exercise of Second Amendment rights; and (4) rendering any gun permanently nonregisterable if its registration lapses.
I listed some resources where you can learn more about this case in yesterday's Gun Rights Examiner column.

But if anyone is expecting the Windy City is going to turn into Kumbaya Land, there's a frequent quote I use here that sums up my sentiments about the "Hog Butcher for the World."

Forget it Jake, it's Chi-Town.

Bar Shooting Highlights Double Standard

Huh. They're obviously armed while hanging out there. None of them ever take a nip while unwinding at a cop bar? And they're not shooting up the joint every night? What superhuman quality of self restraint must government employment imbue them with? [More]
Today's second Gun Rights Examiner column asks if guns, booze and "Only Ones" mix.
