Unfortunately, No I Do Not
Unfortunately, the author repeats a commonly quoted falsehood that does as much harm as good, IMHO: “The Second Amendment gives citizens the right to bear arms.”[More]No I do not. Read the damn thing. I specifically take the administration to the woodshed for that. Good grief, I even cite SCOTUS to prove they know they're lying.
A lot of work and thought go into these things. What does more harm than good: forum bloviators who express opinions based on either skimming them, reading headlines, or reacting to the comments of others.
That no one has called him on it yet reinforces my point.

How he managed to do this without a grant from the National Endowment of the Arts, I'll never know. I guess if he'd dipped some crucifixes in urine...
That kind of illustrates the difference between the two Americas, don't you think?

Will Indiana gun owners let GOP establishment foist Lugar on us all again?
Where the battle will be is in the primary, so the ball is now in the court of Indiana gun owners. If you are one, what real efforts and expenditures will you personally make to toss the scoundrel Lugar out on his ear? How will you join together with other gun owners to make that your goal and then to attain it? [More]Today's Gun Rights Examiner report looks at a race that should be a no-brainer for gun owners--assuming gun owners will focus their brains on it and then actually do something.
Vanderboegh Medical Update
Just got off the phone with Mike--he is undergoing a very painful procedure to...uh...move things along.
They may actually be releasing him on Friday, but I'll believe it when I see it. When I talk to him he sounds like he's been through what he's been through.
I see from Sipsey Street some feel inclined to comment. I wish you wouldn't, and would instead consider the effort it requires of him to respond, and the fighter's personality that compels him to. I wish you'd do this instead--if you want to be helpful, send him your best wishes in a card. From my post-op report:

This Day in History: March 21
THE EDINBURGH ADVERTISER, Scotland, March 21, 1780 Page 2 has a report noting: "...we are informed that since the retreat of the French & rebels from Georgia, that province is restored to a state of perfect tranquility. Those who had the insolence to refuse his Majesty's gracious offers of protection & security...have at least, either through fear or from conviction, submitted & enrolled themselves amongst the King's liege subjects..."
