BREAKING NEWS: Grassley Writes Melson on Project Gunwalker

Mike Vanderboegh at Sipsey Street Irregulars has posted copies of two letters from Sen. Charles Grassley to Acting Director Ken Melson of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. [More]
In a rational world, this would be huge.

Spread the link all over the damn place? Include newspapers and TV?

Legislation Round Up

John Richardson summarizes what's in the hopper. [Read]

Why does link for Mexican newspaper redirect to the FBI’s website?

It, and the reasons behind it, should be part of the ongoing "Project Gunwalker" investigation. [More]
Something funny is going on in the Project Gunwalker investigation, and by that I mean peculiar funny, not ha-ha funny. Anyway, I thought I'd point that out before it gets "corrected" so that maybe we can figure out together if it has any relevance.

The Reuters Dictionary

self–de·fense noun \ˌself-di-ˈfen(t)s\
Definition of SELF-DEFENSE
1: vigilantism
2: selfish lawlessness
Egypt vigilantes defend homes as police disappear  [Read]

Gee, where have we ever seen that before?

And thanks. "Authorized Journalists," for setting us straight on the proper way to look at throwbacks who defend their lives and homes in the absence of "Only One" protection.

Figures, the entire Middle East is about to blow up with radical regime changes, some suspect with no small amount of cause precipitated by the subversives at our ship of state's helm, and this idiot decides it's a fine time to visit Haiti to promote our vital national interests:

An Incomplete Report

Project Gunrunner is a signature effort by the Obama administration to assist Mexico in stemming the flow of guns south of the border. [More]
I wonder if in their investigative zeal if  WaPo "Authorized Journalists" James V. Grimaldi and Sari Horwitz have lifted finger one to look into "Project Gunwalker" allegations?  You know, just to make sure we've covered all the bases before shilling to have the government throw even more money down the rathole?

Why not ask them?

We're the Only Ones and You're Not Enough...

...and don't you forget it:
McKneely says Alexander called police immediately after the shooting. He told investigators he shot because Brown pulled at his waistline, McKneely said. [More]
See, that excuse only gets you a paid leave if you have the right professional credentials.

New York City Investigates Arizona Gun Show [More]
Didn't these evil control freak SOBs get warned not to try this crap in South Carolina, West Virginia, Virginia...?

I think Arizona ought to send investigators to New York and tape a few gun sales taking place on their streets in spite of the best efforts of all the king's horses...and then post it on You Tube.

Or better yet, just dip Bloomberg's little rats in a big salty vat of transfats and blow cigarette smoke at them.

The question here: Who are the "investigators"?  I doubt they're NY cops--more likely Arizona private dick fascists for hire.  Out the m...........s.

The Shape of Things to Come

Subscriptions for silver [More]
Off the grid? What are they trying to hide?

Damned hoarders.

They're probably all gun nut racist survivalists, too.

Just look at one of the extremists they have writing for them.

There oughtta be a law!

You do have their site bookmarked, I trust...? And consult it often?

Long Overdue

"Stricter gun laws," that is. [Read]

Yeah, let's be just like New Jersey!

Either that or let's fight.

Do you think the useful idiots at the Star-Ledger have thought of that?

Will terrorists in next attack on U.S. enter from Mexico?

The softest targets would be so-called “gun free zones.”  And no doubt “assault weapons” would be used.

Leading to a frenzied nonstop blood dance accompanied by furious demands from opportunistic politicians, zealots and the media to further disarm Americans, rendering us even more vulnerable…

Is there any doubt that would be their reaction? [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column asks an incomplete question.  How do we know they're not already here?

This Day in History: January 31

We have just now received very unpleasant intelligence from the West Indies, Mr. Bingham 'tis said writes from Martinico that General Grant had possessed himself of the Island of St. Lucia. Count d'Estaing having block'd up four British Ships of the Line, which were Iying in the Bason or Harbor, landed a body of Troops and attempted to force one of the Enemys works, these were severely repulsed, and the Count after having sustained a loss of upwards of fifteen hundred Men, had desisted from the Enterprise, and retired. He had been reinforced by four Ships of the Line from France, and two captured English Frigates. I have not time to enquire into particulars, but as the Account is against us, there is no ground for suspecting exaggeration. [More]
