This is a placeholder for now because I have not had ads on this blog for years. In case I ever start up again, this will be the policy in effect:
The FTC has some fool nonsense rules about ads on blogs or some such and presumes authority over the First Amendment to compel the unfunded mandate that we who earn ad revenues make some kind of disclosure so you don't think we're getting paid to say nice things about people or God knows what, meaning they must think you're stupid, too. I have had a few ads on this site in the past and may do so again if I think it's worth a try. Combined, I probably couldn't buy a box of good cigars each year, let alone a bottle of George T. Stagg, and that is somehow supposed to compromise my morality to force me to say nice things about products and services I don't mean simply in exchange for filthy lucre. If you believe that, leave now--you're not smart enough to be here. Bottom line, aside from welcoming a sponsor, I will do no posts related to their products or services, or reviews of what they offer.
About "The Only Ones"
The purpose of this feature has never been to bash cops. The only reason I do this is to amass a credible body of evidence to present when those who would deny our right to keep and bear arms use the argument that only government enforcers are professional and trained enough to do so safely and responsibly. And it's also used to illustrate when those of official status, rank or privilege, both in law enforcement and in some other government position, get special breaks not available to we commoners, particularly (but not exclusively) when they're involved in gun-related incidents.
Comment House Rules
Keep them on topic. No spam. No threats against anyone except me. Do not feed trolls--I'll take out the trash. Try to keep it clean. I'm the final arbiter. If you don't like the rules, start your own damn blog.
Link Policy
WarOnGuns reciprocates links with liberty-oriented sites promoting the right to keep and bear arms for all peaceable individuals. If you have linked to me and don't see your site below, it's probably just because I haven't noticed it yet. Shoot me an email via the "Contact Form" (see above in this sidebar) if you want to fix that.
As a general rule I remove links for blogs that have been inactive for over one year.
Urge Senators to Counter Pelosi’s Anti-gun Agenda - NOTE: This is a special request to all Republican Senators to reject Nancy Pelosi’s anti-gun wish list [More]
I treat it more as a demand. I replaced their form letter with this:
If the Republicans side with the Democrats on this, any pretense of turning to the system for redress of grievances will no longer be possible to maintain.
I do like the fact that the message a few of us have been sending GOA for years looks like it's finally sunk in, that it takes the wind out of activists' sails asking us to write Democrats.
Just as first-time gun owners are finding out they can’t just “buy a gun online” and they’re not easier to get than “books” and “vegetables,” all state and federal infringements that the gun-grabbers have insisted on still apply. [More]
These people are more than a few fries short of a Happy Meal.
Jeez, you'd think if this was posted on the 10th and if today's the 13th, a national group would have more than this:
Especially with such a panel of "experts" and assurances from all that the country is starving for disarmament and even NRA members are overwhelmingly desperate for more of it...
You believe that, don't you?
I'd say it's important to watch all 1:01:15 of this to know what the enemy has planned, but I think we all know by now, and truth be known, I'm not sure how long I'll be able to stomach these bedwetters.
On Easter Sunday, Pope Francis sent a letter to leaders of social movements promoting "structural changes" to the "economy of exclusion and inequality." Among other things, he encouraged these activists to use the coronavirus crisis as an opportunity to spur radical change and launch a "humanistic and ecological conversion." He also endorsed the idea of a universal basic income (UBI), championed by former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang. [More]
The first bad decision was that, in contrast to the European Union fantasies, borders apparently do matter. France never closed them; instead it allowed large numbers of potential virus-carriers to enter the country. [More]
Virginia's voter ID law has been repealed, Election Day is now a state holiday and access to early voting has grown. Lee-Jackson Day has been repealed as a way to keep the same number of state holidays. [More]
British police chiefs in the year 2020. Excellent at searching your grocery bags for “non-essential” food. Not quite so good at stopping rape gangs. [More]
Why did Americans die saving these people again...?
Like someone else who ruled with a phone and a pen, Michigan’s Gov. Gretchen “Half” Whitmer has decreed that gun shops have no “essential” purpose during a national emergency. As such, she wants to close the retailers and cease firearm sales across Michigan in the face of the Chinese coronavirus crisis. [More]
Asked what he thought people were scared of, Lacasse answered with a laugh, “Everything. They’re buying guns and ammunition so they can go home and sit on their couch and defend their stash of toilet paper from the pending apocalypse.” [More]
UPDATE: Looks like Bills doesn't want the Gun Room to be the only place where obnoxious managers diss their customers' motives and competence to a hostile press.
Specifically, Federal Firearms Licensees (FFLs) have
requested guidance regarding whether they may verify customer identity and permit the
completion of paperwork, including for purposes of the National Instant Criminal Background
Check System; accept payment; and deliver firearms or ammunition to customers (collectively,
“the requested activities”) in the following settings: (1) a drive-up or walk-up window or
doorway on the FFL’s property; (2) a temporary table or booth located in a parking lot on the
FFL’s property; and (3) a nearby space that is not located on the FFL’s property. [More]

You mean all the high-fiving about a great 2A victory is much ado about nothing and we're dreaming if we think the feds are going to enforce our rights against local tyrant-level infringements?
Africans living in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou say they have been evicted from their apartments and refused entry to restaurants as part of a xenophobic campaign against black people that is ostensibly aimed at curbing the transmission of coronavirus. [More]
Fortunately, they have the means to control the narrative, meaning soon, it won't have happened at all.

Mom sounds like quite the prize herself.
Hey, would it be racist or xenophobic if I wondered if this was the only area in which Angel was illegal?
