“There’s plenty of time to challenge the certification,” Turner noted in response to Miller’s decision. “We’re probably going to end up in court.” A complete statement regarding the group's reaction was posted Tuesday evening. [More]This evening's Gun Rights Examiner report notes the first hurdle has been overcome, and provides the point of contact for erecting new ones. The question now becomes who will help? Not from Nevada? Would you rather wait until it's your sector being invaded by troops fortified and emboldened by another victory?

Nevada accepts Bloomberg ‘gun control’ ballot measure despite irregularities
Thanks to You, It Works
Or, thanks to whomever took action from this and other appeals for pointing, laughing and daring...
Because it worked.
Because it worked.
We're the Only Ones Serving and Protecting OurselvesEnough
A New York police officer, arrested in South Florida for allegedly trying to buy drugs, is facing cocaine trafficking and weapons charges. [More]Somebody tell Liberty-Lynchin' Patrick those Florida cops lifted a finger at one of his guys.

Unintended Consequences
Sen. Kurt Schaefer, who sponsored the constitutional amendment, has filed a court brief saying it wasn’t meant to invalidate the felon gun-possession ban. [More]Why not? If he's "safe" enough to roam freely among us,why should it matter? And if he's not, just to be consistent, when would you let Leo here out?

And They Say There Are No Stupid Questions
Is America's gun culture putting pressure on police to shoot first? [More]I knew this was mostly our fault, because that's the same argument Garry McCarthy uses to justify murdering pesky citizens exercising their rights.
That's what they do in "progressive" societies, don't they?
Standing Up
It sure beats groveling. [More]
And what if activists let every club and range and dealer in Oregon know if they do not help out, their lack of support will be noted and made known?
There ought to be a list of criteria for businesses to fulfill, after which they can be listed as preferred for patronage -- and another for those who are no better than collaborators. Kind of a "seal of approval" or some such...

We're the Only Ones Unrecorded Enough
There’s only one apparent reason for imposing a higher penalty on people who record police in particular: to make people especially afraid to record police. [More]Isn't that the whole point?
It would help if articles like this made it convenient to determine who voted for this police state enabler, so that we the people could hold them accountable. If I weren't in a hurry to handle another priority, I'd go looking.

Who ARE These Guys?
That's something I'm trying to look into. [More]
First I've got to find out where they're registered. News accounts make it sound like a DC operation, and I don't see anything listed with various secretaries of state in likely places like New York. Naturally, the DC corporations website differs from every other I've tried in terms of offering an intuitive way to do an entity search -- perhaps it's there but not obvious to me. In the interim, I've sent this, not that I have high hopes it will be responded to:
My guess is we'll find a familiar name behind it -- one with an MO of hiding from the media until he wants something, at which point they all line up to give him all the free advertising a grassroots-trampling billionaire could ask for.
Oh, and Barbara Bollier? There's literally no difference between your public position and Barack Obama's.If I lived in Kansas, I'd make you a special project. Let's hope gun owners there do, and tell doctrinaire "Republicans" they can offer acceptable candidates or they can go to hell.

Hogan's Zeroes
Hey, you got what you wanted. Why pay after you've been serviced? Besides, the other guy's wasn't as clean.
Naturally, "An NRA representative did not comment on the new word from Hogan." Hey, what could he possibly add?
A Victim of White Privilege
Obviously a casualty of discrimination...[More]
Anybody remember stoop tag? Even as a kid, I always thought it was just about the dumbest game, instinctively chafing at phony imposed protections from the penalties and rewards of competition. This reminds me of that, except instead of stooping when about to be caught, these "adults" just yell "Racist!"
I'm sure real racism victims of the past would have totally identified with Whitaker's plight, and not thought he was pissing on a struggle they died for in the name of shallow personal motives.

This Should End Well
Obama Deputies Free 30,862 Foreign Criminals [More]Who needs a Reichstag fire when you've got thousands of smaller flames?
Gassing Mascots
Several thousand people, some dressed as animal characters, were evacuated from a Hyatt hotel in suburban Rosemont when an “intentional” chlorine gas incident at the hotel, which was hosting the Midwest FurFest convention, sent 19 people to hospitals early Sunday. [More]I'm sorry, I know freedom provides for all kinds and it's not right for one man to discourage the pursuit of happiness deemed desirable by another, but I have admittedly limited horizons in some areas and my first thought is, with all the threats out there to those pursuits, "What kind of adult would find this something worthwhile to spend considerable time and money on?"
Evidently this kind (click graphic to enlarge):
Chicago Airport Hyatt Regency? Oh, gosh, it looks like some rule-breakers and scofflaws could have gotten into all kinds of trouble for taking measures to ward off real beasts.
Push to destroy toy guns raises questions media not asking
Matthews is a bit more of a known quantity. The “community activist” formerly served as co-director of Birmingham’s Office of Citizen Assistance under then-Mayor Larry Langford. Langford, in turn, was one of Michael Bloomberg’s “Illegal Mayors” who was sentenced by a federal judge to 15 years for “bribery, fraud, conspiracy, money laundering and filing false tax returns.” [More]Today's Gun Rights Examiner reports notes a curious preponderance of criminal Bloomberg associates among those who don't even want the rest of us to have BB guns.
This Day in History: December 9
Captain Duncan of your Regiment has preferred a Complaint of Injustice done him by an Arrangement made in Regimental Orders of the 1st of Jany last wherein Captains Goslain, Lee and Selin are appointed to the Command of Companies, though younger Officers than himself I shall be glad you will inform me of the principles on which this Arrangement was made that I may be able to Judge of the propriety of the Complaint.
