Complaint seeks to have Holder disbarred after contempt vote

A formal complaint was filed last week with the Washington, D.C., Office of Bar Counsel -- of which Holder is a member. The letter was submitted by gun-rights advocates and bloggers David Codrea and Mike Vanderboegh, who have reported extensively on Operation Fast and Furious.  [More]

A Timely Piece of Mail

What the heck kind of acceptance signature is that? I can't tell if someone tried to sign something, stamp something, smudge something or just avoid putting any kind of acceptance mark on this.  Ah well, the important thing now is they've got it, attention is focused on it, other efforts are likely, and it will be interesting to see how they bobble the hot potato.

Also of interest, the sanction standards set by the ABA. I'm advised to check out Section 5.0 beginning on page 20, and also aggravating factors in 9.22 (b) (c) (d) (e) (f).  And these standards have been adopted in two jurisdictions of interest, DC and New York.

Looks like I have me some reading to do between now and the time the car comes to pick me up at 6.  And it's been suggested I make sure who the driver is and that I'm not being taken out to a secluded country road...:)

Bar Complaint Against Holder Will Be Featured on Lou Dobbs Tonight

For those of you with cable, Mike Vanderboegh and I will be on "Lou Dobbs Tonight" on Fox Business to talk about our misconduct/ethics complaint against Eric Holder.  The show airs from 7-8 (and again at 10), and we're scheduled to go on around 7:30.

I've been holding off on announcing this because I've had a similar planned appearance on Fox News cancelled before due to being bumped by news developments, and didn't want to make noise until I got plans that have been in the making for the past few days confirmed.

Check your local listings. If you don't have cable, I imagine the interview will end up on the internet in short order.

Attorney responds to claim that consistency was purpose behind ATF form change

“Also please keep in mind, this is being done nine years after the end date of the OMB directive, it’s after Fast and Furious, and it’s after ‘emergency’ multi-rifle reporting requirements being imposed on border state gun shops,” he reminded. [More]

What Gunwalker was All About

The only explanation for Fast and Furious is that it was a program to prop up a losing gun control argument. [More]
Yep.

That's what an insider source told us early on--see, in spite of what the Democrats and the media are trying to confuse people into believing, that accusation did not originate with witch-hunting Republicans or the NRA (which was still half-heartedly looking for a parking place at the time).

Any other  explanation makes about as much sense as Underpants Gnomes.

The Definition of Insanity

This Day in History: July 12

The Battle of Williamson's Plantation was a significant turning point for the backcountry during the American Revolution. Early on the morning of July 12, 1780, a battle was fought near the home of Lt. Col. William Bratton in York County, South Carolina, which was to have far-reaching consequences for the Patriot cause. This engagement is known as the Battle of Williamson's Plantation or, more popularly, simply as "Huck's Defeat." [More]
