Trump Anti-Gun Nominee to Ninth Circuit Driving Away Core Supporters

It’s fair to ask why those who have been defending the president from so many self-inflicted situations he now finds himself in should care if Robert Mueller and “the Swamp” prevail.  A President Mike Pence could do no worse and possibly would do a lot better, especially considering his record on guns. [More]
The guy needs all the friends he can get right now. So why would he drive any away?

We're the Only Ones Cutting Off Circulation Enough

The International Association of Chiefs of Police has recommended for the last 10 years that weapons confiscated by law enforcement agencies should be destroyed rather than sold or traded because "this action helps to keep officers and residents alike safe from recirculated weapons."  [More]
Those jackbooted globalist thugs? If that argument holds true, no one but them should have guns.

Oh...

That's what this is really about. The effete author of this exercise in  "progressive"  bitchiness is an indignant hoplophobe who would also rather taxpayers be on the hook for even more. So s/he tries to make it look like one-sided cronyism instead of a good deal for both sides.

If any outrage should be registered over this it would be if guns were confiscated from otherwise good Americans snared by infringements, if public contracts weren't put out for bid in order to favor partners, or if any stolen property has not been returned to its owner.

Seems to me if any bank in this country expects to participate in the Federal Reserve (and no, I'm not defending that), government contracts, bail outs and the like, they need to be made to knock this crap off.

Speaking of Morally Untenable

Not long after Rhodesia ceased to exist, it became morally untenable to mourn its disappearance. [More]
Especially noting the tolerant paradise it's become.

And it's not like "The newspaper of record" will tell its readers about the very real threats from government white South Africans are facing.

See?

Hey, Marxists gotta stick together.

They can't pull anyone off of scissor and tool control, because that would be dangerous.

So they admit they can't protect the subjects and the subjects aren't allowed to protect themselves.

They ain't seen nothin' yet.

But maybe I'd better mind my own business before I get taken to task again.

Star-Crossed

“Guidestar’s admitted desire to include relevant ‘data’ (i.e., facts) from the SPLC’s ‘factual’ determinations concerning certain nonprofit organizations demonstrates that Guidestar wanted to ‘obtain [facts] on hate groups’ and that it ‘wanted to offer additional [facts].’ Guidestar’s use of the term ‘hate group’ as one element of purported ‘data’ is therefore a purported assertion of fact, not opinion,” the brief states. Further, Guidestar has admitted “that it was keenly aware that its decision was political.” [More]
I'll continue to use them as a resource for data they can't manipulate, but as far as anything else goes, how do you think I ought to reply the next time I get a funding solicitation email from them?

What ever happened to the requirement by law for Corporation for Public Broadcasting-funded entities to maintain "strict adherence to objectivity and balance in all programs or series of programs of a controversial nature," what's the Constitutional basis for fed gov involvement in the first place, and isn't making us all pay for it somewhat analogous to a collective bullet fee?

And how do we learn more about why NPR isn't similarly forthcoming about its lucrative relationship with George Soros?

And while we're at it, let's have a shout out to the establishment Republican majority for yet another caving...
