This Time I Really Mean It!

Trump gives Mexico one year warning to stop drugs before tariffs, border closure [More]
I remember when younger feral son Qusay was little and I told him to stop doing something and he replied "What's the magic word?"

"NOW," I growled, immediately convincing him that compliance was the only alternative where things would end well for him.

Acting Prosecutor

Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens called the event “a tremendous success.” [More]
Ol' Ted's acting, alright.

Stay on Bump Stock Ban Enforcement against Plaintiffs Requested from Supreme Court

An application to stay implementation and enforcement of the “bump stock” ban was filed Tuesday in the Supreme Court by attorneys for the appellants in the consolidated case of Guedes et al., v. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, et al.  The request to Chief Justice John Roberts, as Circuit Justice for the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit (who in March denied an emergency stay application), asks for a ruling “until the resolution of a forthcoming petition for writ of certiorari, and any subsequent proceedings, in this case.” [More]
You gotta go through the motions. This one may buy time.

Black to the Future

Rutgers professor: Even the concept of time is racist [More]
At least with all the other racist outrages ol' Brittney needs to rise against, she doesn't look like she's going hungry, so the white patriarchy must be doing something right to avoid this.

Speaking of Mind-Boggling

Most mind-boggling is a provision that would erase the current requirement for people with guns in their cars to inform a police officer of that fact when stopped. That is the plainest common sense, meant to protect police officers and gun carriers alike. [More]
Yeah, we've seen:

A Bipartisan Effort

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina), who is chairman of the Judiciary Committee, joined Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Illinois) last week in introducing the DREAM Act of 2019 (S.874). The legislation would grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens already in the U.S. while doing nothing to stop the surge of new illegal immigration pouring across the borders. [More]
But don't worry-- we have it on good authority that Lindsey is "committed."

Good thing this has nothing to do with that "single issue."

Teen Vogue is resistant to stuff relying on empirical evidence? Well yeah, but more likely it's because he didn't have enough teen anal sex tips.

All He's Arguing

“All I’m arguing is that before you get a gun, you should be able to show your community that you can handle that gun responsibility.” [More]
No, of course that's not all he's arguing.

Case in point:
“Legally obtained or not, whether by ‘good guys’ or ‘bad guys,’ guns are the problem,” they insist. “If we’re serious about saving lives, we need to build a bolder, broader movement that finally tackles the problem at its core. We need to go after guns themselves.”
Naturally, while cozying up to them and lulling them with weasel words, he didn't ask gun owners if they agreed with that. And it's not like ace DSM reporter Julia Manchester and The Hill had any incentive to find out any of this stuff and ask him to explain.

People who don't know they're being lied to are the ones whose manipulated opinions are most effective to trumpet.

As Expected

I attended Spectrum News event in Charlotte on April 3rd for A Look at Gun Ownership and Violence in North Carolina. Let me just say right off the bat that this was a total SHITSHOW. [More]
What a surprise, eh?

At least they had one good seat on the panel, and one was all that was needed in this case. Kudos to Paul Valone for taking on multiple attackers.

Being Human

That “molecular handshake”, as Kamil Godula at the University of California, San Diego, puts it, is the most crucial step in the process that gets human life started. [More]
Hey, keep your science out of my body.

Besides, since when is "human life" a factor?

Where you live looks nice.

"Progressives" sure are nice with stuff other people are going to have to pay for, aren't they?  The important thing is, they'll get the credit for generosity and anyone who protests will be scorned as a hateful extremist.
