Dear Special K
I figure if Mike gets to send an open letter I do too. But mine is more a question.
Dear Special K,
You said here that you were blocking your computers from accessing the CleanUpATF website.
How come you're not blocking them from WarOnGuns?
Gotta love the Out Click...:)

We're the Only Ones Catty Enough
A state trooper who wanted to stop animals from climbing on his vehicles trapped his neighbor's 5-month-old kitten and shot it to death. [More]I'd say that's a character indicator...
Wish I had sound mixing skills--I think the "Meow Mix" jingle with machine gun fire and explosives in the background would make an appropriate accompaniment to this...

We're the Only Ones Unapologetic Enough
A mother in Franklin said she wants an apology from police after officers barged into her home with guns drawn after, she believes, mixing up her apartment with another. [More]That a sincere one was not immediately forthcoming tells us much of what we need to know.

We're the Only Ones Drilling Enough
How’s this for an ill-conceived emergency preparedness drill? An off-duty cop pretending to be a terrorist stormed into a hospital intensive care unit brandishing a handgun, which he pointed at nurses while herding them down a corridor and into a room. [More]Seeing as how all guns should always be treated as if they are loaded and you should never point them at anything you're not willing to destroy, it would have been well within the rights of any of these victims or a witness to it to blow this fool away.
What the hell is wrong with such people? Who would do something like this?
Right--"Only Ones".
And why no criminal assault with a deadly weapon and kidnapping charges, and charges for conspiracy?
Right--"Only Ones."

Welcome to Gun Burger, May I Take Your Order...?
A Nationwide State-by-State Database Of Pro & Anti RKBA Restaurants & Stores [More]I've written before about similar efforts by state gun groups. It would be nice to see a national resource where such information is merged.
As such things are dependent on supporter inputs, I contacted the site proprietor, and he tells me he monitors entries against abuse.
Go give it a look, and maybe you can help ID some places worthy and unworthy of our patronage. I'd especially like to see more places find it pays to be "gunfriendly" and to have a way to reward them accordingly. This can help do that.

Lessons from Lithuania
Part I, in ten points. [Read]
I need point 4 explained in more detail, because I'm not sure what the difference is. If the point is that collectivist fascists have hijacked the term to disparage those who believe in individual liberty, I'd like to see it fleshed out more.
I know "progressives" would have us believe Nazis had no ties with national socialists, but that's all part of their sleight of mind routine, because that's what they are.
The jackbooted authoritarian says you and what is yours are theirs. I don't care if they wear a red star or an armband. They're all my "mortal enemy."
I'll forward this to "Concerned American" so he can clear up any misunderstanding on my part about what he's saying. And I'll look forward to Part II.
UPDATE: Point 4 clarified.

Medical Registry Ignores Benefits of Responsible Gun Ownership
"An ailment." Yeah, I got a bad case of the drive-bys flaring up again and the crack's not helping... [More]Today's Gun Rights Examiner column looks at another way the antis try to deceive the public.

This Day in History: June 1
The common opinion in the army is that the enemy are about to leave Philadelphia, while some suspect it to be only a political manoeuvre to draw our army into a disadvantageous situation and to attack them. The Tories are stealing out of the City and taking the Oaths to the State. We have no further account of the famous British Commissioners who are to restore peace to America. I believe before this time they are satisfied they will effect nothing unless they enlarge the powers given by their late act of Parliament. One of our Ambassadors tells us the British Ministry publicly gave out that they have sent half a million of guineas to pave the way to a reconciliation and that Lord North informed Count Maurepas that he was sure of a majority of Congress. To such vile shifts are they drove to prevent foreign powers from assisting or acknowledging us; but all will be in vain. [More]
