This evening’s Gun Rights Examiner report notes a positive move in the Magnolia State. And I note the curiosity that the only news report on this legislative development at this writing originates in the Buckeye State.

Eric Cooke Continues to Endear Himself

You-uns remember Eric Cooke...?

Anybody think there are orders he wouldn't follow?

I know, it's not fair to judge him unless I've goose-stepped a mile in his jackboots.

And while I agree that manufacturers should cease doing business with the state (and not just CA), there's one other group that still provides services that are then turned around and actually used against their members, and no one is saying a word to them about it (well, almost no one).

An Upstate Insurrection

...many clerks and local police simply ignored the law...[More]
Well, that's not really how I would define "insurrection," but it's a good start.

Let me know when the ones who don't ignore it become personally compelled to not enforce it.

This Day in History: January 16

In answer to yours of the 14th I can only say, it is my earnest wish you should proceed, if possible, to the southern Army, where you could probably, for some time to come, employ yourself most advantageously; the enemy appearing, by the latest accounts, to have left us in possession of the whole Country, except the Vicinities of Charles Town and Savannah...
