This is a placeholder for now because I have not had ads on this blog for years. In case I ever start up again, this will be the policy in effect:
The FTC has some fool nonsense rules about ads on blogs or some such and presumes authority over the First Amendment to compel the unfunded mandate that we who earn ad revenues make some kind of disclosure so you don't think we're getting paid to say nice things about people or God knows what, meaning they must think you're stupid, too. I have had a few ads on this site in the past and may do so again if I think it's worth a try. Combined, I probably couldn't buy a box of good cigars each year, let alone a bottle of George T. Stagg, and that is somehow supposed to compromise my morality to force me to say nice things about products and services I don't mean simply in exchange for filthy lucre. If you believe that, leave now--you're not smart enough to be here. Bottom line, aside from welcoming a sponsor, I will do no posts related to their products or services, or reviews of what they offer.
About "The Only Ones"
The purpose of this feature has never been to bash cops. The only reason I do this is to amass a credible body of evidence to present when those who would deny our right to keep and bear arms use the argument that only government enforcers are professional and trained enough to do so safely and responsibly. And it's also used to illustrate when those of official status, rank or privilege, both in law enforcement and in some other government position, get special breaks not available to we commoners, particularly (but not exclusively) when they're involved in gun-related incidents.
Comment House Rules
Keep them on topic. No spam. No threats against anyone except me. Do not feed trolls--I'll take out the trash. Try to keep it clean. I'm the final arbiter. If you don't like the rules, start your own damn blog.
Link Policy
WarOnGuns reciprocates links with liberty-oriented sites promoting the right to keep and bear arms for all peaceable individuals. If you have linked to me and don't see your site below, it's probably just because I haven't noticed it yet. Shoot me an email via the "Contact Form" (see above in this sidebar) if you want to fix that.
As a general rule I remove links for blogs that have been inactive for over one year.
Now I'm waiting for Google to ban sites like this blog for providing links to the verboten information.
UPDATE: I'm having slow load/interruption issues which may just be my crappy old system which I need to replace soon. I'll see if I have problems on other machines.
President Trump stands to lose voters in 2020 if his administration undermines the Second Amendment. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what’s happening. [More]
A Missouri school principal is on paid leave after replying to a tweet from a gun control activist. [More]
We can't have a man who teaches children REAL "gun safety"!
Here's what ought to be addressed front and center:
The District learned of the tweet on June 12, 2019...
How? Who is the evil apparatchik that "turned him in" with the intent of ruining a good man's career and life? That's the unAmerican piece of Marxist crap who ought to have his life ruined by exposing him for the filth that he is.
"When it comes to defending our Second Amendment rights, there are a lot of potential fights. We are seeing attacks on multiple fronts, along with efforts to move forward on some other issues. But what should be the biggest priority?" [More]
The biggest priority is not the only priority, and activist gun owners should be able to walk and chew gum at the same time. If you focus only on what's in front, what's coming at you on the flank will kill you.
Police handing out blunt knives to domestic violence victims to reduce stabbings in the home - Around 100 knives will be handed out to victims so their partners can't attack them in the home [More]
Because of my longstanding predisposed bias and in the interests of fairness, WarOnGuns sought out an impartial opinion:
What a load of hooey. But it fits right in the phony gun-grabber mantra, repeated ad nauseam by the media using phrases like “killed by guns,” redirecting responsibility from human abusers and allowing tools to be blamed in their stead. That also feeds the ubiquitous excuse for negligent discharges, particularly by those presumed trained enough to know better, “the gun went off.” [More]
You are about to enter another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mindlessness.
"You will pull the trigger with a lock on, and I'll pull the trigger. We'll see who wins."
Mandating Gun Locks Can Have Unintended Consequences [More]
Been sayin' that for goin' on 20 years now... (and yeah, don't beat me up too badly for "clip" -- I was relatively new to the game and if I ever do a reprint I'll fix it.)
Legislation rolled out Wednesday would let people buy multiple handguns without getting multiple permits from their local sheriff, a change supporters billed as a "streamlining." [More]
Ask Amy: Dad is horrified to learn there’s a gun in the house [More]
If I were the daughter I'd be demanding a paternity test, because he sounds more like Confounded Cuck.
And are Amy's exploding hollow points anything like Patricia Eddington's heat-seeking bullets that cook deer? In an indoor situation, she instructs readers that her "research" concludes a responsible concern for controlled penetration equates with "yet another (likely unsafe) gun owner in this country"?
UPDATE: This is how a fundamentally dishonest person redirects from legitimate criticism and recruits followers to rally to her defense:
Of course they do, even if others disagree. Had she left it at that instead of spewing demonstrable misinformation to untold numbers of trusting readers, there'd have been no need to challenge her. As is, the bad advice will no doubt reach a magnitude more people than the truth, something she obviously would rather see ignored than admit to, which tells us all we need to know about her.
He did not say how the ships were attacked or who was suspected of being behind the assault. [More]
Hmmm...
Forgive me for wondering about which Western cities will become new centers of political influence for "refugees." Forgive me for wondering about the shadowy, string-pulling elitists behind cultural terraforming and citizen disarmament adding to their portfolios...
What do you think, General Butler? Will it be worth me giving that "last full measure of devotion" while Lee and George inspire us, and if not, how could I stand by while someone else goes in my stead?
This being a "rightwing extremist" can get tricky ... I actually expect archaic anachronisms like Constitutional "declarations of war," so I can evaluate if my representative is representing me.
