We're the Only Ones Who Hate Long Goodbyes Enough

A border policeman committed suicide Tuesday afternoon in the middle of a farewell ceremony in honor of French President Nicolas Sarkozy at Ben Gurion International Airport.
And naturellement:
Initially, the prime minister's security personnel drew their handguns and rushed Olmert and Peres to bullet-proof cars, while Sarkozy and his wife Carla Bruni-Sarkozy were rushed to the French president's plane.
Here's why I say "naturellement":
I would like to say one thing, in what is my conception of the Republic, security is the responsibility of the State, I am against militias, I am against the private ownership of firearms, and I’m trying to make you think about that. If you are assaulted by an armed burglar, he’ll use his weapon more effectively than you anyway so you’re risking your life. If the criminal is not armed and you are and you shoot, your life will be ruined, because killing someone over a theft is not in line with the republican values that are mine. The private ownership of firearms is dangerous. I understand your exasperation for having been burglarized two times, I understand the fear that your wife and daughter may have but the answer is in the efficiency of the police and the efficiency of the judiciary process, the answer is not in having guns at home.
Ah, oui. Je comprends. Les Seuls.

We're the Only Ones Price Fixing Enough

Police arrested a Sanger Police Department officer Sunday night on charges of changing price tags on items at a Denton Wal-Mart.
But she's "The Only One" the evil and the stupid trust to carry a gun.

Time to Shut Up and Put Your Keyboard Away

But the OpenCarry movement is a mystery to me. What kind of psychology - overcompensation, paranoia, antisocial personality - is behind that thinking?
Rebecca Walsh will now demonstrate the proper technique for dealing with this guy.

She must know how to, right? Otherwise, her ridiculing the bearing of arms would be irresponsible, negligent. People allowing themselves to be influenced by her opinions might get killed.

Salt Lake Police Chief Chris Burbank sounds like quite the piece of statist work himself.

How would you know it's not a plain clothes LEO, chief? Why would you assume a free man or woman who is not threatening anybody needs to have one of your "Only Ones" "point a gun at them and go through the process [of elimination]?"

If you can't do the damn job, quit.

As a caveat, I'm no fan of open carry. I've done it in wilderness areas, but prefer carrying concealed for a number of tactical reasons. Still, I see the value of open carry for normalizing people's reactions, and respect gun owners who make that choice. I will absolutely do what I can to stop them being harassed--just because some sheep and wolves can't stand the sight of free men and women going about their lives in confidence.

They're not responsible for your reaction, Rebecca, which tells us much more about your deficiencies than you think you've told us about theirs.

Harrassed in Wisconsin for Open Carry?

Schroedinger's Blog has an action item to help bring the situation to light.

We're the Only Ones Not Training Enough

A police force has suspended some firearms training after the death of an officer during an exercise.
I dunno blokes--as long as you're not shooting each other, I'd say a little more practice might just be called for.

But I guess that's why decisions involving guns are best made by "The Only Ones."

I guess it makes sense. I mean, really, what actual experience do mere amateurs like you and me have at negligently shooting and killing our co-workers?

Police say it is sheer luck they are not dealing with a multiple homicide after Mongrel Mob members rampaged through a 21st birthday party, swinging knives, baseball bats and a machete.
I'm sure the "Authorized Journalists" had a legitimate reason to include an accompanying photo of a scoped semiautomatic...perhaps that's what some of the victims wished they had?

Same as it ever was.

Pageant Politics

Ellen Carrington, 21, who was crowned Miss Tennessee on Saturday night, has a concealed weapons permit.

"I have a Smith & Wesson .40-caliber," Carrington told reporters on Sunday, "(with a) silver top and black body."

...Who I will vote for will depend on the debates and the running mates they choose.
So the The Lightworker wanting to ban your S&W, leaving you to the tender mercies of the James Broadnax's of the world, won't be a factor?

Decision Time for Bob Barr

I am an attorney located in Atlanta, and am ready, willing, and able to support Congressman Barr to the full extent of Federal election law. However, you and the campaign should know that I will not be making further contributions, in kind or in cash, until this matter is addressed satisfactorily.
Western Rifle Shooters Association turns up the heat.

Why not take a minute and help convince both the candidate and his party that ignoring our concerns is not an option?

You Know What I'm Sayin'?

I just blanked out, you know what I'm sayin'?

But I remember every detail, you know what I'm sayin'?

You get a some insight into the worthwhile lives this dull-witted, psychotic piece of animal excrement destroyed here.

Note to arrogant politicians, "Only Ones, "Authorized Journalists," anti-gun "males," Bradyites and assorted gunbashers: Reptiles like this are running loose, and you think for a minute I'm going to let you make the choice on whether I can defend myself and my family?

I give to you the same sentiment this evil loser gave to his victims' families.

You know what I'm sayin'?

The next thing the gun owner knew he is in a "felony stop" mode. He was asked to walk backwards towards the officers, who then disarmed and handcuffed him.

While trying to unloaded his gun, THEY DROPPED IT ONTO THE ROAD!
And even after the magistrate proved to them how ignorant they were on all counts, the vengeful dicks still gave the citizen a hard time getting his gun back, and pressed the stop sign charge to save face.

It does make me wonder how dead wrong an "Only Ones" must be, how authority-exceeding or outright illegal his conduct, before physical resistance is warranted.

We're the Only Ones Determining Your Need to Live Enough

"The important thing to me is they need to have demonstrated a need," Ms. Hutchens told the newspaper. "That's probably not going to be popular with a lot of people."
I think you're wrong there, Chief. I think most people--at least those in your neck of the woods--have effectively surrendered to the message from the masters on this and would agree with you.

Too bad. It forced me every day when I was in California to make a choice I knew carried life-shattering risks. That's a hell of a thing to do to a man with a family, but it certainly helped strengthen my resolve.

That you think you're "The Only One" with the judgment and moral authority to make that choice for me just demonstrates what an arrogant and perverse offense to Liberty you truly are.

We're the Only Ones Assuming Enough

A $25 million claim has been filed against the city of Inglewood on behalf of the victims of a fatal police shooting last month in which officers fired into a car, striking three unarmed men.

No guns were found in the car and police said there was no evidence linking the three men to the initial shots fired.
And we don't know the names of the "Only Ones" involved why?

Per an earlier report:
Although California courts have ruled that the names of officers involved in shootings should be publicly released, the Inglewood Police Department refused requests to release their identities.
Why aren't they facing murder and armed assault charges, as you or I would be if we fired into their car under the belief that they were violent armed criminals? And why exactly would we be wrong for making that assumption?

The boobs fired through their own windshield. Good grief.

And the $25 million, or whatever gets settled for? Hey, it won't come out of anybody's pockets but the productive sector's.

Inglewood has always reminded me of Obi-Wan Kenobi's description of Mos Eisley, "a wretched hive of scum and villainy." And the parts outside City Hall and the PD are just as bad.

This Day in History: June 24

A GENTLEMAN who travelled lately through Connecticut, informs us that he met with an old gentlewoman who told him that she had fitted out and sent five sons and eleven grandsons to Boston, when she heard of the engagement between the provincials and regulars. The gentleman asked her if she did not shed a tear at parting with them? "No," said she, "I never parted with them with more pleasure." "But suppose," said the gentleman, "they had all been killed." "I had rather (said the noble matron) this had been the case, than that ONE of them had come back a coward."
