A Taxing Experience

A U.S. tax court judge has ordered the Internal Revenue Service to disclose if it criminally investigated the Clinton Foundation. This ruling was part of an ongoing case involving whistleblowers who have long alleged wrongdoing on the part of the charity that bears the name of former President Bill Clinton and his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. [More]

Seems we were just talking about case studies on how not to run nonprofits. Say it all turns out to be true -- who thinks either one will be held accountable and gone after with the same bloodlust?

Leading by Example

Why I use the NRA as a case study for how nonprofits shouldn't operate [More]

True, plenty of leftist nonprofits have their share of trough-feeders being just as self-serving, and the lefty prof could have highlighted SPLC or Bloomberg, but that's why it's so wrong for NRA to even be in this position -- the side ostensibly championing freedom needs to set the example for how truth, integrity, and honor are paramount.

19 years... and you know he didn't just start being corrupt last week.

So what's this "swift action" they're patting themselves on the back about and how much confidence should the public have that this was an isolated "bad apple," especially in light of the others that have turned up?

A Raw Deal

Take this headline from Raw Story: “‘Why are we not subsidizing guns?’ OAN guest says white people deserve free guns to protect them from BLM.” Yet, the guest in question didn’t say anything about white people. [More]

So the Raw Story apparatchik lied? This is my shocked face.

But go look at the hate-filled comments their readers left: Lynch mobs are made from exactly such as these.

...And Some Bad News

Meanwhile, Oregon is about to become the test case for another national issue. The OFF supported “Second Amendment Sanctuary Ordinance” was passed by the voters in Columbia County. The commissioners in the county then took the passed ordinance, rewrote it and then asked for “judicial review” of the ordinance as changed by them.  While anti-gun forces were alerted to this request and then joined in the legal action, pro-gunners, including the people responsible for passing the ordinance, were kept in the dark and then blind sided by the inside effort to overturn it. [More]

So that explains it.

So Much for Federalism

So, as 2021 brings forth new avenues for gun control extremists to present themselves, Eric Tirschwall of Everytown says that they’re going to fight/support this court action using the argument that “Federal Law Supersedes State Law.” If the court rules in favor of that, then it could have much more far reaching consequences for residents of Oregon, such as opening the door to get rid of legalized cannabis. [More]

And as long as we're talking "Supreme Law of the Land," what happened to "shall not be infringed"?
