We're the Only Ones Sticking Up for Ourselves Enough

But on Friday, Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly said that as he moved from cadet to recruit to probationary police officer, Christian A. Torres, 21, was something else as well:

A serial bank robber.
On his "MySpace" page, he calls himself "The Law." Talk about a JBT mindset.

And LEO WM40 on Officer.com forums ("These Are Private Forums for Law Enforcement. We Reserve the Right to Remove Non-LEO Members, Anti-LE or Inappropriate Posts and Users Without Warning") has the self-serving, excuse-making gall to ask "Is this what NYPD's low pay is leading to?"

Whiny damn thug apologist. And they say there are no stupid questions.

I hope no one "lifted a finger against" young Christian--otherwise, Benevolent "Only One" Liberty-Lynchin' Patrick Lynch will see to it your "life [is] on the line."

Just think--if he'd tried to rob you and you shot him in self defense, you'd be in the slammer right now, thanks to NYC edicts that demand you be helpless against all predators--especially the ones on the city payroll.

Dangerously Silly

Mike Vanderboegh forwarded me an old email he first sent to an errant editorialist back during the Clinton the First era.

It's still more than relevant today:

Subject: Your Dangerously Silly Editorial of 12 April Entitled "Gun Ban Was Needed."

Mr. Hood,

It is a measure of how far common sense and respect for the rule of law have deteriorated in our constitutional republic during the present administration that educated men such as yourself could write such dangerously silly and unconstitutional drivel such as your editorial "Gun Ban Was Needed."

In the past, when I had illusions that legal, moral and historical arguments could sway anti-freedom ideologues such as yourself and the President, I would have mustered a formidable array of facts, cited legal opinions and quoted from the Founders' own lips to refute your wrong-headed opinion that law-abiding Americans need to be disarmed. (Oh, I know you do not say it directly, but isn't that what you're endorsing when you urge "the President should consider stricter prohibitions"?)

Forget that the Second Amendment is, like the First you cherish, both an individual and collective right. Forget, indeed, that it is the Second Amendment that secures all the others, including the First.

Forget that the Founders' didn't write the 2nd Amendment with "sporting purposes" in mind. Forget that the very idea of codifying the right to "keep and bear arms" for the purposes of shooting fuzzy animals would have been laughable to men such as Thomas Jefferson.

Forget that the 2nd Amendment was designed to guarantee the 18th Century equivalent of "assault rifles" to the citizenry so that they might resist tyrannical administrations. Forget that the Clinton Administration has from the beginning used every means at its disposal to strip law-abiding Americans from exactly these kind of previously legal arms of military utility.

Forget that this President has acted like he was King George III himself, not only adopting His Late Majesty's firearms policy, but issuing imperial "Executive Orders" in the middle of the night, when Congress is not in session, contraryto law and Constitution.

Forget all that.

If the law and the Constitution mean nothing to you and your President, let's explain this in terms you will understand. If you want my legal, semiautomatic rifle then I suggest you come and get it. Yourself. Today. Bring the President if he's suddenly caught a draught of courage. Have the strength of your gun-grabbing convictions and come along with the raiding party you are encouraging through your editorial page to confiscate my weapons. Don't send someone else's son to do the job. Don't cry out for the police or military to disarm me while you sit safely at home and cluck your editorial tongue in approval. You want my rifle? Come and get it. Call your gun-grabbing buddies at the BATF, they'll give you directions to my house. You don't even have to call and tell me you're coming.

Of course, I'll bet you won't because you're a smart little editorial writer and you know that you'll likely get killed if you try. And you know what? That's exactly what the Founders had in mind. That tyrants, or their pissant editorial apologists such as yourself, would think twice before trying to disarm the law-abiding citizenry, the final arbiter and guarantor of American liberty.

None But the Brave

Two Georgia gun dealers have agreed to monitoring in settling the federal lawsuit brought against them in 2006 by New York City. That leaves only Smyrna-based Adventure Outdoors in an unusual case set for trial next month.

..."[Adventure Outdoors co-owner] Jay Wallace will go as far as to hock his car and his shop and all the guns in to see this case through," attorney John Renzulli in an interview Friday night. "This guy has complete moral conviction that he did not do anything wrong. ... He feels he has been wronged and he's going to show the jury [New York] City is wrong. They sued the wrong guy."

So why would any Georgia gun owner give their business to one of the roll-overs, instead of to the man of principle?

What, Us Worry?

Classes are back in session this noon at Alfred University, after officials say a toy gun led to a lock down.

From the usual gang of idiots...

Not Relevant

After a weekend spent making direct appeals to gun owners and church goers, Hillary Clinton said Sunday a query about the last time she fired a gun or attended church services "is not a relevant question in this debate” over Barack Obama’s recent comments on small town Americans.

“We can answer that some other time,” Clinton said at a press conference held in a working class neighborhood here.

Yeah, she needs time for everybody to get their story straight. Maybe it was when she returned fire on that sniper...?

When you get to it, why not tell us about the last time you pulled a hunting tag, too?

"Be Prepared to Die"

St. Xavier University began evacuating its dormitories and shut itself down Friday evening after threatening messages were found on a bathroom wall.
Is that all it takes to get out of a test these days?

Even with "a professional Public Safety Department"? Those sure are a lot of "Only Ones."

And just for good measure:

"Despite repeated efforts by the gun lobby to legalize concealed carrying of guns, ICHV has been instrumental working with Illinois residents to prohibit the carrying of loaded, hidden handguns in public. ICHV has staunchly opposed concealed carry, and we have continued to be successful in prohibiting efforts to legalize the carrying of loaded, hidden handguns."

Yep, "Be prepared to die" sounds like advice to take to heart. Especially when the state won't allow you to be prepared to live.

That is, for those without the resolve of men to prepare to live in spite of dictates forbidding it.

Rate My "Only One"...

...is back online.

Easy as Ever

One year after the deadliest school shooting in US history, guns are as easy to find here as ever and Americans seem to like it that way.

Ever?

So I can walk into a hardware store and buy a pistol with no background check? Or own a current model machinegun?

AFP printed it, so it must be true...

No history of the colonization of America and our progress as a nation is complete without describing the earliest settlers and those following with a Bible in one hand and a gun in the other.
What most don't seem to realize is that history was once considered "today." They also don't seem to recognize that nothing in human nature and needs has really changed, either.

We're the Only Ones Between the Sheets Enough

Two troopers at the Sandusky post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol nearly lost their jobs after one snapped a photo of the other dressed up in a Ku Klux Klan-like outfit and sent the picture to another trooper.
That was mighty white of them.

OK, stupid judgment, no doubt.

But the "diversity awareness" Taliban is now showing these hapless oafs a whole 'nother level of "Only Ones."
