Good ol' ATF. This was exactly the rhetoric when Operation Fast and Furious “gunwalking” got its start, as a shortcut to spook the herd into agreeing “something must be done.” Eric Holder was hoping for a semi-auto ban. [More]Maybe ATF can start walking guns again, seeing as how nobody got punished for all the deaths from their first go-'round.

It Matters Everywhere
MSNBC contributor admits a hard truth: In Venezuela, arms ownership matters [More]The only thing that'll stop a bad guy with a tyranny tool is a good guy with a freedom tool.
I wonder if they'll invite him back.

Well, I Guess that Restores MY Confidence
Carolyn Meadows to replace Oliver North as new NRA president [More]Who?
ACU, eh?
As in "ACU supports the overhaul of our broken immigration system and the further expansion of employment-based immigration..."
I wonder if Carolyn would address a concern or two...
Today's Low-Hanging Fruit Report
According to an affidavit filed in support of today’s federal criminal complaint, Jamison met an undercover agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives on Tuesday, April 23. [More]Say, who wants to help me start a militia to carry out covert ops...?

We're the Only Ones Tight-Lipped Enough
In re yesterday's post:
Anybody see a name yet? I've been shared a reply from an "Authorized Journalist" claiming police have not released it nor filed charges.
What a cheesy excuse. Any real reporter worth his salt would not just lie down and accept that -- they'd press for answers and publicize the pressing.
Seeing as how that doesn't appear to be a priority...

UPDATE:
I note every one of these reports came out hours after this post. I'd like to believe and hope that those of us making noise also made an impact.

Banking on Disarmament
“It’s called capitalism. If you don’t like what the bank’s telling you, you go down the street and find another bank,” said Rep. Sam Jones, a FranklinThere. I fixed it for anyone who believes his motivation is one of unrestricted free market championship.Democratcommunist. [More]
And I wouldn't mind his assertion as long as the banks doing the discrimination have no financial dealings with any government entities.
A Monumental Ruling
Judge: City's Confederate statues are war memorials [More]And now they are targets of renewed interest.
Still, it's not like they're as offensive to communist race hustler sensibilities as Prospector Pete or anything...

Vested Interest
UNC Charlotte shooting suspect Trystan Terrell had no interest in guns, grandfather says [More]But he evidently did have an interest in "gun-free zones."

UPDATE: Bear has some thoughts.
Inaction Alert!
Take Action and urge your Senators to OPPOSE the gun control in HR 1585. [More]And if your senators are Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris?
With the meltdown in Fairfax, GOA has a unique opportunity to attract disaffected NRA members. Wasting their time with something they know will be counterproductive is no way to convince them their support will be better applied.
It's not like some of us haven't been asking them to try a different approach...
Under Total Government Control
Four inmates died in Kansas prisons. Illegal drugs may have played a role, KDOC says [More]Like Malcolm said in Jurassic Park...
In fairness, "total" is hyperbole. I suppose they could chain them -- and us -- to the wall...

Meanwhile, Across the Pond in Piers Morgan Paradise...
Britain's politicians have now made the absurdly ridiculous move to call for the banning of what Reason magazine called "the most useful tool ever invented" - the knife. [More]Oh, look: Incremental "commonsense gun safety laws"!

We're the Only Ones Who Would Rather See Your Kids Slaughtered Enough*
Val Demings, an Orlando-area Democrat member of Congress, filed legislation Monday to prevent the Trump administration from allocating anti-terrorism funds to help arm teachers. [More]That's OK, as a retired "Only One," she's taken care of through LEOSA.
Maybe the next "school shooter" will use the gun she negligently made attractive to steal.

Knock Down the Lie
Go behind the scenes as four determined women -- including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez -- challenge big-money politicians in the 2018 race for Congress. [More]Right.
We're the Only Ones Lady-Killing Enough
Mohamed Noor guilty of third-degree murder, manslaughter in killing of Justine Ruszczyk Damond [More]I'm waiting for the BLM crowd to protest the verdict.

We're the Only Ones Extorting Enough
The constable then required Reyes to pay her and her chief deputy $50 an hour for security as her own family regrouped at a nearby BBQ pit. [More]Nice family gathering you've got here. Shame if something happened to it...
Don't worry -- it's not like they've been fired and indicted or anything.
I'm seeing extortion, deprivation of rights under color of authority, and by two of them doing it that makes it a conspiracy. Since their cronies won't do anything about it, maybe it's time to bring in the big guns.

There:
We Wouldn't Have a Domestic Enemy Problem Either if We Applied a Plan
"You know ladies, with technology the way it is, we wouldn't have an abortion problem if we applied a plan. Now, I've been told it's a bit radical, but if we allowed men to be castrated, took the sperm to the bank, collected tax dollars on it for storage, then when it's time, to have the man decide he's ready to begin a family.... well then problem is solved!" [More]Don't worry, though. My guess is if she had to qualify it, Jabbalina here would say she didn't mean all men, just the evil white ones. Or she'll probably pull a Swalwell and claim she was just joking.
Haha. Can you imagine a male politician saying serial welfare mothers ought to have their tubes tied?
Crushing the Non-Competition
Yeah, this reminds me of a Seinfield episode where Kramer was bragging about winning Karate competitions. Later in the show we find out he was competing against 12 year olds. [More]I never really watched Seinfeld -- I gave it a two-episode try and still hadn't laughed, plus all the male characters were alien to me, so I gave up on it -- but if this guy is remembering the episode correctly, he is exactly right.
Your Lips to God's Ear
“Yes, this is a coup. This is the most shocking violation of the Constitution and criminal activity in the history, not just of America, but of a western government. Much of this rises to the level of treason. People need to understand how shocking this is. It was a clear conspiracy. There will be arrests and indictments without question. . . . This was a coup. It was a conspiracy. It was criminal activity. These people need to be indicted, charged and need to be put in prison, and if they’re not, then our Constitution is nothing more than a sham. This was a coup against a duly elected President, and people need to understand how serious this is.”[More]And the totalitarians who attempted it are the same ones who want you either ruled or dead.
13 Reasons Why
The Netflix show “13 Reasons Why” was associated with a 28.9% increase in suicide rates among U.S. youth ages 10-17 in the month (April 2017) following the show's release, after accounting for ongoing trends in suicide rates, according to a study published in Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
