REESE CASE: ANOTHER DEVELOPMENT

Here's another story I was going to do a GRE piece on, but this week's internet outage kept me from it.

This is the best site to consult anyway--I've dabbled with the "highlights" of the Reese case, if you can call them that, but if you really want a comprehensive understanding of the ordeal this family has been going through, the job done on this fine site has just been outstanding.

It's a pity there never seems to be appropriate recognition for such efforts.  They're just not "Authorized Journalists," you see.

The pros are much too busy to cover stuff like this anyway. Isn't that right, Honey Boo Boo?

Anti-Gunner Illegally Waves BB Gun

I wanted to do a Gun Rights Examiner article on this, as a follow-up to the story about the Connecticut "lawmaker" who wants to make it  illegal to have a gun capable of firing more than a single shot.  But having an internet outage for almost two full days this week backed everything up and forced me to make some concessions and let some stories go unfielded, at least by me.

Connecticut Carry has the story.

And in a David Gregory moment, we once more learn "authorities" don't see anything wrong with the right people breaking the law.

Duck Season!

Tyrant season! [Watch]

I was all thumbs up on this until the end, when he says the solution is to increase the ATF excise tax to pay for "Only Ones" Praetrorian Guards.  How about we just end the damn "gun free zones" and recognize the right of the people to keep and bear arms?

I Don't Always Contact My Legislators

But when I do, I prefer this message:
- The President is trying to provoke civil war.
- As your representative, each legislator is to viciously oppose any new gun laws.
- You and your friends will be watching.

Mr. Christie, A Republican

Besides, the tub of pus needs them all to "flank" him when he takes the state helicopter to his son's ball games.

As an aside, that's quite an aircraft.

An Unprecedented Exclusive

Any bets on whether he demands an end to "gun free zones"? Or instead opts to promote the "Only Ones" exclusivity precedent while casting a blanket dragnet?

Confessor to Terry murder could help verify if Fast and Furious gun was used

With this latest confession, there’s one more source of forensic evidence that could be used to help corroborate and refine existing observations, and potentially narrow things down even more to the point where a conclusion can be reached: Check the guns for Cruz-Lozano’s fingerprints. [More]

A Fourth Generation Farmer

This isn't "perspective," it's calculated prevarication. [Read]

I guess this subsidized mouthpiece never heard of Fourth Generation Warfare. Or the Deacons for Defense and Justice.

I can't help but wonder if his first generation might have appreciated having the capability of protecting his homestead and family from night riders...

Here, pally: The Federal Farmer wants to have a word with you:
...whereas, to preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them...

This Day in History: January 18

The loss of powder lately sustained by us (about five tons), together with the quantities sent on to the southward, have reduced our stock very low indeed. We lent to Congress, in the course of the last year (previous to our issues for the southern army), about ten tons of powder. I shall be obliged to you to procure an order from the board of war, for any quantity from five to ten tons, to be sent us immediately from Philadelphia or Baltimore, and to inquire into and hasten, from time to time, the execution of it. The stock of cartridge-paper is nearly exhausted. I do not know whether Captain Irish, or what other officer, should apply for this. It is essential that a good stock should be forwarded, and without a moment's delay. If there be a rock on which we are to split, it is the want of muskets, bayonets, and cartouch-boxes. [More]
