Because it shows Maloney for the sick tyrranophile that she is. It takes away the arguments that gun owner rights advocates are “paranoid” and that “No one wants to take your guns.” Of course they do. Every action on the part of these subversives under the guise of “common sense gun safety laws” is just another incremental nip toward that goal, and by going for this big a bite, Maloney shows her insatiable hunger and undeniable lust. [More]She's even uglier when she takes the mask off.

Maloney’s Stupid ‘Smart Gun’ Bill an Unintended Gift to Gun Owners
From That Point On
“From that point on, the data started getting murkier and murkier,” Swiat said. [More]Oh, it was murky long before then.
The problem comes with the presumption that all guns are brought on campuses by bad people with intent to harm. The bleaters doing the bidding of wolves have no idea how many citizens unwilling to surrender their rights take their chances and ignore stupid and offensive rules.

When Is It OK to Kill Whites?
I suppose if I rephrased that to "When is it OK to kill blacks?" I'd be called a racist. [More]
How about "When is taking a human life justified?"
Nope, guess not...
Follow the Leader?
Are Republicans lost in the spoils of power, just laying back and enjoying their super majority at the expense of good gun bills being left to languish? Why the reluctance to move on anything pro-Second Amendment? These are good questions to ask of House Speaker Tim Moore. [More]I have one more question:
If he's such a "leader," why the need to ask?
Moore was recommended by Grass Roots North Carolina-PVF where he was ranked 4 stars. He was endorsed by the NRA Political Victory Fund and rated as A+. That's a good start. It does get better as Rep. Moore was one of the speakers at a gun rights rally in 2013 organized by GRNC. Given their reputation as a "no compromise" organization, the fact that Moore would be one of the speakers says volumes about him.

Relisted
There is only one new relist this week – but oh, what a relist it is. Peruta v. California, 16-894, asks whether the Second Amendment entitles citizens to carry handguns outside the home for self-defense – including concealed carry when carrying firearms openly is forbidden by state law. [More]Guess we'll find out if our demonstrated level of commitment warrants them taking us seriously...

What Could Go Wrong?
Microsoft chief executive Satya Nadella said Wednesday tech developers have a responsibility to prevent a dystopian "1984" future as the US technology titan unveiled a fresh initiative to bring artificial intelligence into the mainstream. [More]Because that's so 1984 when we can have a dystopian Skynet future instead.
Coming Soon to a Caliphate Near You
Initially a ban on laptops and tablets was applied only to U.S.-bound flights from 10 airports in North Africa and the Middle East. [More]But it's xenophobic, intolerant and racist to focus on the people who convert and carry those laptops? And expanding the ban to inbounds from Europe doesn't indicate the government believes there's a problem resulting from the cultural terraforming there?
Keep that up here and the problem will take care of itself.

Their Own Facts
Long story short-- a guy writes an article celebrating what the St. Louis Post-Dispatch did to Stacy Washington. I'd give a link to that except it's on a Nextdoor.com neighborhood site and you have to be a registered member to access it.
The following ensued in comments between a colleague and the author of the piece:
Speaking of his "own facts," Stacy Washngton has made it clear she is not "paid" by NRA. There's a difference between being paid and being reimbursed for travel expenses.
But then again, if Hillary can get away with "her truth," why wouldn't all "progressives" follow a model that works?

Our March to Reconciliation
"This morning we continue our march to reconciliation by removing the Jefferson Davis Confederate statue from its pedestal of reverence," said Mayor Mitch Landrieu in a statement. [More]That must be why the workers wore masks. With "progressives," every day is Opposite Day.
Mitch is used to lying, of course, as usual. He needs all the distractions he can arrange to take focus off his utter inability to do a thing about his constituents and the real problems they have.
Unstatues. Base on time-honored principles.
I wonder how soon Lincoln statues will get Talibaned. Talk about a racist:
More problematic were Lincoln’s views on race. He held opinions not very different from those of the majority of his racist countrymen. Even if slavery was wrong, “there is a physical difference between the white and black races that will for ever forbid the two races from living together on terms of social and political equality.” His solution was a form of ethnic cleansing: shipping blacks off to Liberia, or Haiti, or Central America — anywhere as long as it wasn’t the United States. That memorial in Washington has to go!
