Happy Trails to You, Until We Meet Again

I'm leaving for vacation in an hour and will be back Aug. 6.

I have no worries about making that knowledge public. Now that I've replaced the batteries in their shock collars so they can't escape the property and maul anyone (again), I've unchained and released feral sons Uday and Qusay from the basement, leaving them free to prowl the grounds.

Please hold off on all news tips, emails, tweets, FB messages and blog comments (which I have turned off until I get back). Anything you send will be a wasted effort, as I'll have a full plate and just won't be able to get to it when I return.

The White House petition expires in two days and will be ridiculously undersigned. I'll talk about that when I get back including that I'm not giving up and will figure something else out.  At least I can take comfort that the effort to free A$AP Rocky got the president's attention (not to mention almost 630,000 signatures at this writing).

I have two articles that should be coming out soon:
  • On Ammoland, look for "Take Shannon Watts’ Advice and ‘Fight Like a Mother’ -- against Her."
  • On Firearms News, look for"Riding the Tiger," my take on what to do about Wayne and why.
That's it. See you on the other side. Until then:

Appealing to Emotions on Guns Results in Infringements but No Solutions to Violence

We're told this is all about “commonsense gun safety laws.” Let’s take a look at the stories behind the girls being commemorated and see if anything the Moms and the Marchers demand, at least publicly, would have made a bit of difference for the victims. [More]
By adopting an "If it feels good, do it" attitude on "gun laws," trying to overpower gun owner objections and resistance, and forcing their will and way on them, aggressors for disarmament show themselves for what they are: Rights rapists.
