Manufacturing Control

Below are examples of operations performed on firearms and guidance as to whether or not such operations would be considered manufacturing under the Gun Control Act (GCA).
BATFU presumes to tell us what we can and cannot do, right down to colorizing guns.

When Jefferson designed the University of Virginia, I don't recall his plans including gun lockers for professors.
You're absolutely right. He would have been appalled at the thought.

What good would they do locked up?

What the Left Calls "Right Wing"

Card is advocating a violent overthrow of the American government if it decides to support gay marriage...

This same pathology was at work with the shooting, by a rabid right-winger, at the Knoxville Unitarian Universalist Church last month, and the very recent attack on the Arkansas Democratic Headquarters.
A couple things: Card is an anti-gun lefty.

And tell me going over the edge because you're losing your food stamps is the act of a "conservative."

I'm sure many would consider me "right wing." Funny--it's not me trying to disarm gays, minorities, women--it's them.

A Blessing from On High

He was warmly received by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who called him "a leader that God has blessed us with at this time."
Boy, ever since Thulsa Doom transformed into The Lightworker, he just keeps getting more 'n more exalted and everything, doesn't he?

Look at me, Damien. It's all for you!

We're the Only Ones Most Dangerous Enough

"He's been fired from four different police forces," said DeCamillis Raque's attorney, Steve Romines. "He's had more complaints lodged against him than any police officer I've ever seen."

..."He truly is one of the most dangerous people that I've come across doing this," said Romines.
So yeah, it makes perfect sense to give him a badge and a gun and and set him loose on the citizenry.

Former "Only One" James Wilder is very fortunate there is apparently no man in this woman's life.

We're the Only Ones Priceless Enough

Bullet: $ 0.10
Cool Cop Vest: $ 39.99
Big-Time Federal Training: $100,000
Shooting your buddy in the leg and leaving your
loaded gun in a hallway full of cons: PRICELESS
A "twofer!" I suppose records are made to be broken, but I never really thought I'd see an "Only One" out-Lee Paige Lee Paige on tape.

And Remember: "They" Hate Us Because We're Free!

The Justice Department has proposed a new domestic spying measure that would make it easier for state and local police to collect intelligence about Americans, share the sensitive data with federal agencies and retain it for at least 10 years.
Yay! Thanks, "Vote Freedom First" President! Soon we can be just as sophisticated and Europeany and everything as our British cousins!

Displaying Their Colors

Good billboard.

More here.

Billboards and road signs are definitely an idea that could be exploited more. Everybody knows about the Champaign County "Burma Shave" campaign, right?

It's something a local group can put together and finance on their own, and it's sure to gain notice--and controversy gains media attention and a wider forum to introduce arguments to.

In Good Hands

June 28, 2008, was a defining moment in my life. It was the day I shot and killed a man in the defense of my life and the lives of others.
I'm glad he shared his story. But if anyone is ever in a similar situation, I'd advise against it.

We're the Only Ones Shuffling Off to Buffalo Enough

Pennyamon alleges that after wrongly breaking into her apartment, police proceeded to strike her epileptic husband in the head with the butt end of a shotgun and point shotguns at her young children before admitting their mistake and then raiding the right apartment.
And in true "Only Ones" fashion, they defend their actions.

I wonder if the Buffalo PD hands out medals?

We're the Only Ones Replacing Fluids Enough

A convenience store videotape appears to show a sheriff's detective buying a sports drink shortly after his vehicle struck and killed an 11-year-old Kentucky girl as she crossed the street, a prosecutor said.

Why Gatorade? And why did Killings' commander allow a two hour lapse to test for alcohol?

Oh.

And what's the deal with the fingerprints on the bottle, and why is the TBI testing the second bottle--if police believe the negative blood alcohol content test results?

This Day in History: August 18

Joseph Matthews of Capt. Perkin’s Company of Artillery, tried by the same General Court Martial, for “selling his Gun, which the Select Men of his Town had given him, and drawing pay for a Blanket, furnish’d by said Select-men.” The Court sentence the prisoner to receive Ten Lashes upon his bare back, and order Twelve Shillings to be stopped from his pay, to repay Capt. Perkins for the blanket.
