‘Anonymous Say Something’ Campaign Shares Flaws with ATF’s Snitch Line

The “Say Something” campaign Barden is pushing won’t change that. What the slick PR professionals call “student upstanders” is basically another way of saying “informants,” and while there can be times when doing that can be lifesaving and needed, like all tools, it can be used for great good or great evil. [More]

This "promises" to do a lot more harm than good.

An Administration of Sadists

“I know that the government believes that the January 6th cases are sui generis [one of a kind] and therefore can’t be compared to other cases. But I don’t agree,” said U.S. District Judge Trevor N. McFadden. “It does feel like the government has had two standards here, and I can’t abide by that,” he added, noting that before January 6, he couldn’t remember an instance where  a nonviolent, first-time offender was “sentenced to serious jail time … regardless of their race, gender or political affiliation.” [More]

In other words, the evil, vicious bastards think their power is to force their will on citizens and get revenge on anyone who resists. Combine that with the observable fact that they lie to us about everything and I'm wondering what it's going to look like when normal people start to snap.

Documents? We Don't Got No Documents. We Don't Need No Documents. I Don't Have to Show You Any Stinking Documents!

A 2018 document outlining requirements for Safe Streets shows a monthly requirement of reports and audits. A 2021 public records request for those documents turned up nothing. [More]

That's because they don't comply with their own rules. That's our job.

Besides, who doesn't think a full-blown audit of Baltimore city government wouldn't end up in messy incompetence and corruption scandals? And then we'd have to blame systemic racism.

Dewine signing permitless carry notwithstanding, Renacci has a better record of consistency on guns.

That said, he's got some 'splainin' to do.

Candidly, if a good part of his argument hinges on kudos for Eric Adams and "hop[ing] that the media would have a better job reaching out to the individuals who live in these neighborhoods, and not simply keeping the NAACP on speed dial," I don't see him making his case.

How EVER Did I Miss This?

Damn. I wanted to bring my inert ghost trainer.

Let's hope they've developed better gun handling skills. (Note I can't retrieve the Examiner.com link right now because the Internet Archive is temporarily down  -- I'll check in later this afternoon to provide a link to my article.)

A Two-Edged Sword

The moral of the story is, if you are defamed, you don’t have to take it lying down. Be prepared to sue. [More]

Conversely, if you're going to call a gun-grabber a liar, make sure you have documentation to back it up because they'll not only be happy to, they have the Astroturf lawfare backing to financially break most of us just in lawyer fees trying to keep up.

Hoist with Her Own Petard

Now, here we were on the phone again, this time discussing how she had been the one caught in gunfire. Unfortunately, not much has changed in the last year for residents in neighborhoods besieged by gun violence. [More]

Based on her "solutions,"  no wonder:

Gauthier has ideas about how to stem the violence “that could include everything from policing but also a broader set of resources like trauma support and violence interrupters that are on the streets 24 hours in those areas,” she told me. “Or safe youth activities for as many hours as we are able to during the day ... or programs that offer stipends for young men not to shoot and make it financially worth people’s whiles to get out of the cycle of violence.

That and she's a commie.

Freaky Friday

"(Paris) dropped the gun, and it fell, and it went off to my knowledge. And then when she picked it up, she picked it up by the barrel and it went off. That's all I know ... It was not a suicide. It was just a freak accident." [More]

I also believe her when she says she doesn't know who the gun "belongs" to. If we're talking "legally," she probably doesn't.

The Right Direction?

Rabbi Makes the Irrefutable Case Against "Gun Control" [More]

We're told the new rabbinical director "currently serves as Rabbi of Temple Sholom in Springfield Ohio," which practices Reform Judaism, which sends a completely different message.

Will he be allowed by the hierarchy (which includes my old pal "Rabbi" Yoffie) to share this message with those who need to hear it most? And with this as official organization policy, will he -- and JPFO -- dare to acknowledge the great threat to continued "legal" recognition of RKBA?

Put a Fork In It

Sen. Susan Collins (Maine) on Wednesday said she would support Ketanji Brown Jackson's nomination to the Supreme Court, becoming the first Republican to back her confirmation.  [More]

Since when has she not been on the side of the enemy? This is why you never donate directly to the Republican Party, or to PACs that share proceeds with it.

There is one chance left:

“The Senate of 2022 is tied, with 50 Democrats and 50 Republicans, which presents Republicans with an interesting procedural option: denying a quorum in the Senate Judiciary Committee, thus preventing the nomination from being reported out of committee and placed on the calendar, and ultimately moved to the Senate floor.”

Why the "gun groups" aren't demanding their A-graders push for that is for them to explain. I'm leaning toward "You've got to keep the threat level high for successful fundraising."

Meanwhile, Clarence Thomas's health and his wife's political activism put him out on a limb that's ready to break, Roberts still has the Dolly pix hanging over his head, and we'll really find out what Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Coney Barrett are made of.

The Deep State is preparing for Republicans to sweep big in the midterms and just making sure the victory will be akin to Will Smith going home with his greatest win only to see a greater loss follow.
