We're the Only Ones PO'd Enough

Sheriff’s deputies in Ventura County arrested one of their own Friday for allegedly filing a false police report against a woman after discarding a urine sample that showed a negative drug test result, authorities said. [More]
What to do, what to do with someone who so abuses official authority over fellow citizens... Say, let's ask Thulsa!

Speaking of Nonessential Jobs...

Democrats demanding a taxpayer bailout to feed fake news’ virus bias. [More]
Actually, they are essential -- to those pulling the strings.

Contentious Jurisdiction

Less than 24 hours before the hearing that was scheduled for today on VCDL's lawsuit to reopen indoor shooting ranges, the Northam Administration filed a motion to move the venue from state courts to federal courts. [More]
I'm not clear on why that would be considered to the state's advantage...

A Man of Principles

Six years ago, Bloomberg News killed an investigation into the wealth of Communist Party elites in China, fearful of repercussions by the Chinese government. The company successfully silenced the reporters involved. And it sought to keep the spouse of one of the reporters quiet, too. [More]
And that's not the only area of policy agreement.

Slice of Life

Man who killed Richmond police officer granted parole despite life sentence [More]
In fairness, he hasn't shot anyone execution-style in over 40 years, so it must be safe to open the cage.

The Hurrier I Go

Results have shrunk significantly in just two weeks since the last report.

Forgive me for wondering how much is an updated algorithm and how much is directed.

Intercepted Enemy Dispatches

We’ve been getting hit a little too. The mommies hate when you FOIA school districts and local governments and get their comms lol [More]
Regular readers here know I do FOIAs all the time and report on the results. This business of going after government/MILM corroboration strikes me as intriguing, so I asked for examples.  Follow the "More" link to see some.

Interesting stuff.

Curious-- she's not shy about flouting laws she disagrees with from her native land of Trinidad.

Any guesses on if she'll agree with this?

Trapped Like Rats?

In the way of background, Zimmerman is charging that Trayvon Martin’s support team, including Martin’s parents and their attorney Benjamin Crump, knowingly substituted an imposter witness for the real “phone witness” in order to secure Zimmerman’s arrest for the 2012 shooting death of Trayvon Martin. Sterile Bee Queen 'Activism'

According to WWJ-AM, however, a petition to recall the governor would "require language approved by the state board of canvassers for circulation," as well as "signatures of well over 700,000 registered Michigan voters" in order to take the issue of recall to the actual ballot. [More]
If anyone deserves it...

But that would mean people would have to get up off their asses and with "social distancing," we're not likely to see canvassing signature gatherers.

Anybody know if that's even considered "essential"...?

UPDATE:
The Michigan Conservative Coalition and Michigan Freedom Fund, who organized the protest, asked for protesters to surround the Capitol in their vehicles at noon Wednesday...
Well, that's a bit more like it. I'd wear a mask and if my license plate was recorded and "authorities" showed up at my door, I'd wonder if someone took my car for a joyride and returned it...

A Non-Essential Worker

“I have no interest in going back now. How do you get there? Train? Plane?” House Appropriations Committee Chairwoman Nita Lowey told C-SPAN Monday of returning to Congress on April 20. [More]
What, do the job we reap fabulous rewards from...? What do you think we are, little people?

And here's the kicker:
“Unless it’s safe, I think we are better off doing our work, as we have been doing, passing bills by unanimous consent,” she continued, referencing a rule that allows bills in Congress to pass as long as no present members voice objections.
That's not what the provision is for. But I can see the tyrannical-minded amending that and "voice voting" all kinds of "controversial work."

What could go wrong?

You Can Say That Again!

Democratic presidential candidate Joseph R. Biden Jr., a U.S. senator from Delaware, was driven from the nomination battle after delivering, without attribution, passages from a speech by British Labor party leader Neil Kinnock. A barrage of subsidiary revelations by the press also contributed to Biden's withdrawal: a serious plagiarism incident involving Biden during his law school years; the senator's boastful exaggerations of his academic record at a New Hampshire campaign event; and the discovery of other quotations in Biden's speeches pilfered from past Democratic politicians.
