How, Indeed?

The commission would also investigate how the gunman was able to carry out his actions... [More]
That's the crux of it right there, of course, and the answer couldn't be more obvious.

But there's public plunder to be spent, self-promoting publicity to be exploited and an agenda to be advanced, so what the hell -- forming a blue-ribbon panel that will give 'em all that and more, except for the damn truth, is the way things are done these days.

Not Quite Clear on the Concept

All of the rights granted by both our federal and state constitutions are inalienable rights, not rights granted to us by an elected government and, therefore, our rights cannot be impeded upon by said government. Although all of our rights are equally important, the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and Article 1 Section 13 of the Virginia Bill of Rights give us our ability to protect all of our other rights in the event that our government becomes tyrannical. We're the Only Ones Courteous Enough

Twinsburg police are investigating a Christmas Day incident during which the department’s officers allowed a Cleveland police captain suspected of driving impaired on Interstate 480 to be driven home by his wife without charges. [More]

I am acquainted with a non-"Only One" who was arrested by that department, not offered a similar "courtesy," and who spent Christmas in jail because the court was closed. He was prosecuted and it cost him several thousand dollars in attorney fees and fines, not to mention affected his record and jacked his car insurance up, and this guy was marginal -- certainly not so blitzed he was stewing in his own urine.

We're the Only Ones Hands-On Enough

Piter then allegedly forced his hand up her shirt and under her bra, forcibly pulled her pants down, and penetrated her vagina without verbal consent and under physical protest, according to the complaint. [More]
So she thought it only fair to finger him...?

And There Was War in Heaven

That prompted Letter, the House counsel, to repeatedly raise the specter of Congress returning to use of force to enforce its subpoenas ... When pressed by Rao about what would happen if the Justice Department refused to comply, the House counsel added: “We can send the sergeant-at-arms and he can have a gun battle.” [More]

See? Democrats aren't anti-gun.

Survey SAYS...

Majority of Virginians think gun laws should be stricter and are willing to pay more for education, VCU poll finds [More
Left unsaid is what the majority actually understands about gun laws as well as how much of a tax burden those inclined to support more spending bear themselves.

I question how many first considered per capita income for most Virginia locales as it compares to the median public school teacher salary and further considered their abbreviated standard work year.

We're the Only Ones Anonymous Enough

Had John been killed by anyone other than a cop, the name, face and rap sheet would be on the front page after a press conference by the police chief with glossies and circles and arrows on the back. Yet, too often, the identity of a killer cop remains a mystery, the investigatory reports are buried and we’re left clueless as to why the cop was given a pass on the killing. Why? [More]

You serious about that question?

They Blow Up So Fast These Days

Authorities in Sweden have been accused of mislabelling explosions and bombings and classifying incidents as “damage” in order to distort the true extent of explosions across the country. [More]

The Yellow Rag of Texas

For Texas, 2019 marked another deadly year of mass shootings [More

Not that it's in the Herald Democrat's interests to flesh out incidents they cite to elaborate about comparative numbers, ignored warnings, good guys with guns and "gun-free zones."

Sowing Discord

“Misinformation about one of the safest herbicides ever produced has created a lucrative business for ambulance-chasing lawyers and NGOs—at the expense of native species.” [More]

I don't doubt that for a second. The point of rubbing Shannon's face in it is to highlight the monumentally hypocritical inconsistency of the left for giving someone advancing another goal of their agenda a pass -- and frankly, to start a fight among the factions.

All About the Benjamins

...Columbia, S.C. mayor Steve Benjamin for his repeated attempts to impose unconstitutional firearm restrictions on city residents [and] his wife – S.C. circuit court judge DeAndrea Benjamin – and so many of her judicial colleagues keep putting violent criminals back on the streets in the name of “justice reform.” [More]
So what does the wife have to say about the strippers brought back to the hotel room...?

Opposing Goals

“I would really like to see more women saying ‘Not me” rather than ‘Me Too.'” [More]

And gun-grabbers would rather women be victims so they can lay blame on those they wish government usurpers to persecute -- and they don't care how many have to be brutalized and killed to get their way.

A Matter of Policy

A Mount Holyoke College professor was arraigned Friday after an alleged brutal assault against another faculty member with a rock, a fire poker and garden shears, according to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office and a college spokeswoman. [More]
