An Inspiration to Us All

Speaking to reporters as the votes were being counted down the hall, Pelosi said it was "so inspiring to hear my colleagues place my name in nomination once again for Speaker of the House." [More]
Right. I'm sure no quid pro quo, bribes, arm-twisting, threats and blackmail played any part in the unbridled enthusiasm, because high-stakes power politics is just so clean and pure.

This one. Not this one -- although I expect opportunities for "progressive" encounters will abound.

As WarOnGuns Correspondent Michael G notes:
And as a personal observation, note the broad overlap between those supporting no borders and those wanting to end vaccinations.  Go team pandemic!
Funny how they then turn around and fall for the "public health model" on guns.

None So Blind

Police, elected officials and community members came together Tuesday night looking for answers after a triple shooting in West Philadelphia injured two teens and an 8-year-old boy. [More]
The answers are right in front of them, but, like Col. Jessep said, they can't handle the truth, and like Mr. Pynchon observed, it all depends on the questions.

You sure won't find them from "safe space" incompetents like State Representative Joanna McClinton. Still, she unintentionally stumbles on a point about keeping invaders out with man-made barriers...

Looked at in a different light, #MeToo also applies to concepts, hence Supergirl and Batwoman, etc. Opposite Day "progressivism" has no new ideas, just recycled old ones.

When I was a cub, such transitioned characters were created to capture a "girl's" market. I believe it's another reason why superheroes often had boy sidekicks, to have avatars we could identify and vicariously share adventures with.

Nowadays, as the supplemental links show, there's another agenda entirely.

We'll see how much of the movie-going public embraces that agenda enough to register at the box office. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd lay odds on another Ghostbusterettes.
