ATF temporarily shelves proposed ammo ban while power to proceed remains intact

While arguments are correct that M855 ball ammo does not meet ATF’s own definition of “armor piercing,” the larger point, that there is no legitimate authority to impose such criteria in the first place, is being missed. So when ATF declares they’ll be back, until such time as that usurpation is addressed and resolved, it’s prudent to believe they will be, at the first political opportunity. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner report notes it's OK to breathe a temporary sigh of relief -- just don't make the mistake of thinking it's over, or that it's safe to let our guard down, because they slipped another ban through less than a year ago without all the brouhaha, and they're willing to wait until the time is right to strike again.

What did the Terminator say?

"I'll be back."

Until it's crushed in a hydraulic press, I'd believe it.

Much Ado About What, Exactly?

Republicans are likely to push the measure through the Senate, where they control the chamber and have the support of four Democrats. But the bill is unlikely to make it through the House, where Democrats sit in the majority and are considering sending the measure to an unfavorable committee. [More]
So much for the old ways. Enter the new paradigm:
The debate on Monday once again fell back to whether the law is enforceable.
That can be tested if anyone wants to badly enough.

The Fosters

Bunch o' damn ammosexuals who shouldn't be trusted around kids...! [More]

Why can't they be more "progressive"?

We're the Only Ones On a Three-Day Pass Enough

A police officer who accidentally fired his gun into the driver-side window of a car being driven by a suspected drug dealer has been recommended for a three-day unpaid suspension. [More]
That'll teach him!

Any guesses what would happen if you "accidentally" fired your gun into a police car? Think they'd be sympathetic to your muscle contraction?

Flow Chart Redux

Here's a better copy of the one I posted yesterday. [More]

To The WA State Governor from Liberty for All

Please understand this: We will not comply with these continued infringements. We will no longer be controlled and have our rights violated. There is no more compromise. If an inch of liberty is taken from us, we will take back a mile. Because of this, we face persecution, arrest, and even death. [More]
Some patriots tell why the struggle is up close and personal for them.

I asked one of the organizers if they have a legal fund set up in case worst fears come true. Right now, they are having difficulties with online accounts they've tried to establish. So for right now, checks/money orders/cash would need to be made out/sent to Kit Lange, Liberty for All, PO Box 304, Lake Stevens, WA 98258.

Let's hope I don't need to publicize an emergency appeal.

Meanwhile, Over at the Party of the Workin' Man...

She might be a member of a political dynasty, but Chelsea Clinton's getting used to being in the spotlight on her own. [More]
Yeah, She  got there on her own.

What with Opposite Day 'n all, who better to fill the role of "progressive" leader than someone with the same level of gender inequality experience she brought to her last job?

And Speaking of "Republicans"

Charleston gun owners: You know what to do. [More]

What a douche.

Speaking of Traitors

It's all good. Go back to sleep, gun owners.

Meet the Traitors

Illinois Republican lawmakers, including Reps. Aaron Schock, Adam Kinzinger, Bob Dold, Sen. Mark Kirk, and Gov. Bruce Rauner talk about the need for comprehensive immigration reform. [More]
That's code talk for giving illegal aliens the vote.

We already knew that Dold and Kirk were domestic enemies.

Schock wasn't hard to figure out, either. Kinzinger is a double-talking weasel. And Rauner doesn't take his oath past politically-motivated photo ops for Fudds.

Were I one of their constituents, I would work to defeat them all, even if it meant an anti-gun Democrat won. Otherwise, the party will rightly conclude it can dump whatever droppings it wants on your plate and you will have no choice but to lap it up, which gives them absolutely no incentive to work for us, instead of the other way around.

I challenge Illinois gun owners to organize and take one of them out as an example to the others.

Speaking of Shabby

Comment by: jhvg (3/9/2015) Grover Norquist does not support amnesty. He supports immigration reform and securing our borders. David Codrea never quoted Norquist or talked to him. Shabby journalism. [More]
You know who else is guilty of shabby journalism, jhvg?

I note you didn't explain what "immigration reform" means to him and to you, not to mention to Michael Bloomberg, with whom he has partnered on the issue, and what it will result in. Why is that? And how will it be different from allowing all current illegals to remain, enjoy a "pathway to citizenship" and have birthright citizenship babies, all of which Norquist wants, to accomplish exactly what only a few of us are warning against?

And what knowledge do you have -- not conjecture, not anecdotes, not platitudes, and certainly not more of your toxic misdirection -- to actually refute the concerns GOA and I share?

Shabby deception. Come out of the shadows, jhvg. Let us test each other's motives.

Deceiver.

This Day in History: March 10

The situation came to a head with a call on March 10 for a meeting of officers the next day. It was accompanied by the so-called First Newburgh Address by “a fellow soldier.” The document accuses America of trampling on the soldiers’ rights and suggests that, if peace was declared, the Army could refuse to lay down their arms until their demands were met; alternatively, if the war continued, the Army could simply retire from the field and leave America to the British.
