Take This Poll

Does the news make you more likely to get a gun? [More]
They asked. Tell 'em.

We're the Only Ones "A Few Bad Apples" Enough

Schenectady's Corporation Counsel John Van Norden said, "If you abolish the police department you still have a need - not an obligation - but a need to police the community. You would need something in transition. Declaring martial law would be one way to bridge the gap." [More]
Got that?

The whole damn department is so damn corrupt they can't field a police force. So much for the "few bad apples" theory.

Then they admit they have no obligation to protect you.

So do you think they'll let you protect yourself?

Hah! Not when the option of establishing complete tyrannical control is still on the table.

Last night when I read this story, I laughed. This morning, reading it again, I don't find it funny at all.

What They're Teaching in Schools These Days

How to be a good, controlled inmate, naturally. [More]

I guess "right to choose" doesn't apply toward any decisions the state doesn't want you making...

Meanwhile, Across the Pond in Sarah Brady Paradise

Well-meaning 'snoops' are being recruited by the Government to nag their colleagues, family and neighbours into living healthier lives. [More]
This is just the first phase, understand. Once they're used to it we can start making things compulsory, with attendant reporting requirements and punishments for noncompliance.

Live healthy or we'll kill you.

Has a real government solutions ring to it, doesn't it?

We're the Only Ones Not Commenting Enough

Monterey Police Chief Tim Murphy told the Herald-Citizen, "I have only this to say: no comment." He also said the other two officers would not be allowed to comment at this point. [More]
Read about another outrage committed against an American citizen under force of arms by a government that has the sole purpose of securing the Blessings of Liberty.

And since when does the despicable statist snitch who started this ball rolling get a pass on having his identity revealed? The paper tells us who the innocent guy is--why not the damned rat who wet his pants, stuck his nose in someone else's business and called in the goons?

Chief "Only One" Tim has no comment to give. I wouldn't mind giving him one, except it doesn't look like he has a website we could submit them to.

Do You Know Who I Am?

Sheriff revokes the gun permit for GOP heavyhitter [More]
Well, maybe it took his ox getting gored, but at least he's gotten involved.

Maybe the sheriff was afraid he'd be suicidal...

We're the Only Ones "To be or Not to be" Enough

Suicide rates among police officers in Los Angeles and San Diego are higher than their counterparts in other big cities cited in a report considered Tuesday by the Los angeles Police Commission. [More]
I wonder how they compare with rates for the CHP and national LEOs?

There's only one thing to do. Disarm them now.

If it saves on "Only One," it's worth it.

We're the Only Ones Not Rushing to Judgment Enough

The San Diego County district attorney is asking for patience as officials investigate a shooting by an off-duty police officer that injured a woman and her 8-year-old son. [More]
Because we all know how patient they'd be had an "Only One's" kid been shot in a traffic dispute.

National Parks Gun Ruling is Judicial Activism, Not Justice

What this means is Judge Kollar-Kotelly, the National Parks Conservation Association, the Brady Campaign, et al, subscribe to the perverted value system that the potential for an immeasurable effect on the environment outweighs the right of a human to defend their life and the lives of their loved ones. That is what it boils down to.

Bottom line: They would rather see you dead than armed. And they'll use the force of the state to bend you to their will.

That's despicable. [More]
Forget the statistics and the debating points. This treason boils down to the essentials and needs to be couched that way.

Here's today's Gun Rights Examiner column. In addition to also giving you the latest from my fellow GREs, I also have a list of other Examiners covering this latest judicial assault on Liberty. If anyone wants to
click on the "Biggest threat from guns in national parks: Visitation" link and leave a comment kicking some of the more clownishly ignorant asses, I won't mind.

Please help bring wider readership to this column by sharing the link with your friends.

This Day in History: March 21

Virginia seems to have taken full advantage of the special opportunity open to her. Ships entered the states rivers at will. For example, on March 21, 1777, the Virginia Gazette reported that a shop from Nantes carrying 30,000 pounds of gunpowder, a brig from St. Eustatia, and a schooner from Curacoa had sailed up the James River. Another brig from Guadaloupe had entered the York River, and yet two more sloops from St. Eustatia and Curacoa were plying the Rappahannock.

Although these arrivals carried varied cargoes, large amounts of ammunition continued to arrive in 1777. [More]
